Best mod for under $100?

I love the look of the white face gauges. It's like driving a new truck. $25, the remaining $75 will end up in the gas tank

How hard is it to access the front of the gauges? Also, isn't it hard to line it all up so that light shines through the correct areas and keep air bubbles out from under it? It just seems like the kind of job I would do and find my install didn't go as expected??

In my haste to install the white face gauges I didn't get it perfect but it's good enough. Definitely watch this youtube video from the maker and it will be easy. I made the mistake of not spraying the decals with a soapy solution which would have made readjustment a breeze...and placing a light behind the dash didn't occur to me before watching the video. The instructions suggest plugging the console back in to turn on the lights which I found impossible because the steering wheel is in the way. Also I'd leave out the transmission indicator sticker in the center- it will just look better

A couple weeks ago I stripped my entire interior, carpets out and all. $$ labor only.
Then I cleaned all the crap out from under everything. Washed it all down with some bleach, and hit any little rust spots from things rubbing with rust paint.

Then I rented a steam cleaner for $65 and shampooed all the interior fabric.

My '90 looks like new inside (well, almost)

I don't know if it was the BEST mod under a hun, but it sure does look (and smell) great!

Now, the reason that it was stationary long enough was because the tranny was not working properly. The cost of that was a different story.... All good now though.

Pulling out the old cats (selling them) and welding in a new smaller cat for better clearance. Take the money you get back from selling the stock cats and get a muffler. 40 series flowmasters sound good, and are cheap on Craigslist.

It's awesome. The clearance is insane without having to do anything else. I also added a flex coupler for about $30 more.

Funny enough after 22 years, the gaskets failed in the valve body. There were a couple spots where they gasket was gone altogether and it was allowing pressure loss = bad/no shifting.
Not a huge expense in parts, but the labor was a little more!

I'm surprised no one has metioned the Ultra-Gauge. It's been well worth the peace of mind on the engine temp, clearing the CEL when my O2 sensor failed, and speedo correction.
