Aussie here for many miles. Works as intended.

Glad to hear that! You're not the first guy I've talked to on here who has had theirs for a while with nothing but positive things to say...except for slippery surfaces. Unfortunately thats par for the course though with any autolocker.

Also, Dana 30s are absolute crap. One of the first things people upgrade for very good reason...

Quieted down any? I've read they are quite loud during the first week or two then a bit noticeable at times but nothing too extreme. How has it been for you?

I cant tell the sound has changed any.

Thank you for the quick reply.
I'm regearing next week, and installing a Spartan locker for the rear.
No problem. I have had 4.88's and a spartan in the rear for about 1.5 years now. Barely ever even realize the spartan is there with daily driving and the 4.88s have significantly improved drivability with the 35s. I think you will be very happy.

still enjoying the aussie in the rear of my 80 for gosh, don't know how many years now.

I will add, if i were to get a selectable locker, i would go with the eaton electric locking one. I like my ARB up front, but constant o-ring and oil blow by issues get old.

When I lock the front axle it will be a TJM.
The Eaton electric disengage when you roll back and it takes 1/4 turn to lock them up again.

Have Aussie in rear been in 4-5 years now, no problems works as intended. Makes slight noise going around corners.

Hi guys, sorry i am late to the party. How are the rear Aussies holding up for you guys? My only worry is i do hit snowed in trails in the winter and ive heard of how dangerous a automatic locker like a Aussie can be in snow. Other than that i live in southern California and the truck will not be a daily. Only a weekend warrior. Really looking to pull the trigger on a Aussie before a trip coming up in 2 weeks

Still ticking strong. :) Although i don't own the truck anymore, but my co-worker does.

I've had an Aussie for years, no issues. Get one, read about how they behave on snow and other conditions and adjust your driving accordingly when necessary. It's a good upgrade.

6 years in and I would do it again. No better or worse than a full on Detriot locker or a tight limited slip
