I've got an older Snap-On fixed head stubby. I don't have anything to compare it to but and it's a very nice wrench. Just me but I don't like flex wrenches, they always seem to bending when I don't want them to.
I just bought a Snap-On fine tooth/close angle ("Dual 80 Technology") stubby for my header install job and ITS THE BOMB!!! ...
Is it stamped for country of origin?
I've stated my hatred for Snap On many times on this forum.
Their ratchets kick ass. They are the best. It's just up to you if you can take the price, the inability to track down a truck when they break (and they will) and the grief you get when you want it fixed.
All of mine say USA on them.

I have a ton of ratchets, one of my favorites is the Wright 3430. It is a 1/4" ratchet with a 3/8" anvil, it is very compact, especially the head, smooth, etc. Because of it being 1/4" ratchet, it's not the strongest, but very handy when a large socket meeds to be turned in a tight place. They are also easy to disassemble/service.
Model #3430 Compact Ratchet Wrench from Wright Tool Company
+1 on the Wright 3430.
