I've been waging war on a tremendous clunk from the rear when I go over bumps. I keep ruling things out and I'm now up to new spring and shackle bushings.
This rear hanger was crushed by a rock. Originally it was folded over the spring but I managed to bend it back to flat. The hole for the pin, however, is still flattened. I'm no metalworker, so while I spent two hours with my torch, BFH, vise, clamps, etc etc I couldn't get it to come any closer to round.
What do you all think about doing the
thing and just grinding the pin to the same shape as the hole? Only the shoulder would need grinding...
