Crawled under the old girl yesterday to check for leaks after engine install and test drive, and I noticed that the belt is rubbing on the smog pump delete bracket. See attached pic.

Everything appears to be together correctly, I’m assuming this should be so tight of a clearance. Any idea what I’ve done wrong?

lots of threads on the tension bolt,
looks like it was tight going on
maybe a longer belt to move the pulley out more thus moving the belt away from said bolt?

Not personally familiar with their bracket. I've used Man-a-fre's . Try removing the washer? hard to give a definite opinion without being there
Yeah I can definitely take off the washer to gain another 1/8 or so. Still tight but would be better for sure.

Close is better than rubbing. Close is only an issue with hand grenades, horseshoes and your daughter's boyfriend's hands right?
