i will see you both, and that good looking front bumper in a day.

The 40 was awesome wheeling. The size of he 100 is going to be the biggest drawback.

Great progress on your build. Hoping to make it to Uwharrie this weekend if I can get my axle installed in time. Trying to find someone who will overnight it.

Cdan probably can. Hope you make it. I am leaving early Friday morning.

slow and steady...and you wont have issues. If you panic or are a spaz on the trail then might get a scratch or two. Use your mirrors for the sides down low....spotters for front...and watch the vehicle in front of you to see their line and how you need to maneuver for same or better result...especially with off camber where you might feel too high up on trail but need to get there to keep from hitting roof on a tree or boulder on other side.

Slow and stead wins on the trail....

Picked up some used Yakima racks today. they were bought from a local Craigslist ad. The fella had them on a Passat and only had them for about 2 months. Rail Grabs, bars, locks and fairing all for under $200. Not a bad days work.
The pics kind of stink so I apologize in advance. As far as wind noise goes I can not hear any.

BBQ BOY - In post #7, you show a snapshot of the door w/ sound dampening material on it. Couple questions:

1 - What kind of material did you go with?

2 - Did you replace the Vapor Barrier when you buttoned it up?

I bought the sound deadning off of eBay. It's called Fatmatt. The vapor barrier was removed and thrown away.

Interesting. I always thought that stuff was supposed to go against the exterior skin. Does that brand work just as well stretched over the gaps in the interior of the door frame?

The deadening works great. It seals the door.

This is the brand I used when i replaced my speakers. It was much cheaper than Dynamat and appeared just as good. It goes on easily with a heat gun or hair dryer if the weather is not quite warm enough.

I left the vapor barrier though so I didn't use as much as you did. I didn't know what the plastic (vapor barrier) was for so I left it intact.

"Not a bad days work" is right! I just spent almost $500 on them NIB. Great work!

Well the plastic is there to keep water from getting on the backside of the doors panels. I matted the doors inside and out creating an enclosure inside and out.

I know. i am still giddy about it.
