That being said, I'm planning on swapping it back and going with a Redarc BCDC1225D due to the added features of the Redarc unit.[/QUOTE]

Hold up. There is another piece of Redarc candy coming.......a 110 version of the Redarc BMS30. Check that out and I bet you'll wait until it hits our shores. It's a AC charger, DC charger, MPPT solar controller and monitor all in one. The monitor is really nice. Check out the YouTube videos for the BMS30. I don't know the ETA but Redarc says.....watch this space.

That's pretty interesting. The only thing it's missing is the 1225's "smart alternator" capability. Unless I'm missing it in that doc. I emailed Redarc regarding another unit and they recommended the 1225 instead. The main draw of the 1225 for me, personally, is the "smart alternator", MPPT, and multiple charging profiles. The only thing I wish it had was a proper monitor.

It has the smart alternator capability. DC/DC charger set to battery type. Download the manual for more information.

Interesting. I'll have to take a look tomrrow when I'm not loaded with whiskey. Maybe Steve Moore at Redarc is bullshitting me with the 1225.

Maybe he wants to sell something today versus next month. Sales people are like that. The BMS30 is also an isolator. As you can tell, I am in the market for one when it gets here.

Reminds me of a few ladies (god I hope they were ladies) I met in Guam and/or other undisclosed locations.

He did send me a wiring diagram to incorporate my current Redarc dual sensing isolator into the 1225 so maybe that's why he recommended that unit since it works nicely with what I already have.

A decent dual battery monitor is something I definitely want this time around though.
