30 ish years ago I was removing a battery charger from my crappy battery in my 65 Mustang so I could drive to school (battery was pretty much worn out junk but i was too poor for a new one). I did not turn the charger off first (the LAST time ive done this), and it made an arc as I removed the clamp and it instantly exploded the entire top of the battery in my face. Miraculously, all the plastic pieces missed my face but it coated my face in acid and I could hear nothing but ringing in my ears. I raced to the house and started washing it and grabbed baking soda and rubbed my face in it. Came out fine but it sure taught me to respect hydrogen build up in a battery. It's pretty rare with current battery technology. I use to hear about happening all the time. I haven't heard of an incident in over a decade.
Aren't you supposed to be on vacation??!!
Yep. Looks good.
