Just a quick update:

• Metal shop is giving me a really hard time about the very low qty of these. They want to charge me prototype run rate which would be a killer so I am keeping as is with them just producing when they have a dead spot in their production schedule. This means it could be done very quickly or it could take a couple weeks. But the cost to me is significant so hopefully you (five) that ordered one are cool with hanging out for a little bit.
• I have roughly 75% of the base wiring done and I ran out of three connector types (building out enough for ten). Ordered those up and they will be here on Wed so I can continue wiring up the individual runs.
• The water temp gauges have been ordered and will be here next week for those that opted for it.
• I forgot to order red heat shrink. Whoops. Coming in the order.

I'm fine with the delay.

I'm good, no worries. Just wrap it in a xl Wits End hoodie when you send it!:flipoff2:

Jk, im good.

I'm good with the wait, just means I might find more laser etching graphics to squeeze on there...like my 40th Anniversary badging and number...

Met with metal shop. They are squeezing me in this week. I have a prototype of an air tank bracket I'm working on and I got them to find a time slot for me to get these disconnects done. I have to baby the first few because each is a one off for the guys who ordered theirs. So I sit with the programmer to bust these out. Looks like it may happen this week. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime I have nearly all of the pre-wiring done so that hopefully once these come back from powder coat and laser etching I won't have to spend forever assembling these.

How's this progressing?

Wait, did you really just develop this to address your overheating problems AND then add the electrical stuff as a bonus?
:P

Odd, I didn't get these last two messages. Hmm. Well there is a LOT that has happened over the past month which I'll get into later but long story short I am now using a new metal shop and they have all the updated files and are looking to go into production as early as Monday. Once they start production I will be heading over there to walk through the first batch to make sure everyone gets what they ordered.

:hmm:

Yeah yeah, trust me I know. It's now with the 3rd metal shop. The last one had it for a few weeks and then finally told me to pick up the sample unit because they were too busy with much larger orders to deal with my tiny job. I'm sitting next to piles and piles of finished wiring and components and just crap waiting to get assembled. Sorry, I know this sucks. I want to build these as bad as you guys want to install them.

:bang:

Your reply doesn't suck, actually. The fact that it bothers you reminds me that you give a s**t and do all you can. Love it. I am certain that when it happens, it will be great stuff. No worries. Party on Wayne.

Besides, this time of year, all my time goes into fixing smooshed sleds for winter fun. Cruiser projects hit high gear again in January . Think snow!!!

...what he said, without the smooshed sleds, still too hot for those here. I figured the delays were cash flow related so I ordered more stuff to feed the coffers. :)

Luckily, this time, that's not the case. Of course anything extra went into buying the posters, beer cups and new shirts. Evidently I have a fear of having money in my pocket :(
