Clemson is in the process of stomping their second scrub team of the yr in a glorified practice game. Working in all th youngsters from that top 20 recruiting class. Should be another good year for the Tigers on the hardwood. Kind of weird watching basketball at 10am though.

Good game tomorrow. UNC vs. Ohio State

see you are relevant here............ just stay out of the football thread until you earn it:flipoff2:

After the way Syracuse stomped you maybe we need to find something else for you Tarhole fans to know about like knitting or tiddly winks or something.

Still ranked sixth since that loss. Someone thinks we are still decent.

We still beat OS. I look for us to get better and better as the season goes on.

When Clemson outranks UNC that will be your cue to start the knitting jokes.

Clemson with a poor performance against Texas A&M last week but did step up with a decent win against Butler.

ACC/Big Ten Challenge this week should be a couple good games anyway. Highly doubt the Big Ten will win since they never do but its always fun to watch.

Pre-season polls should be outlawed. Loaded dice, rigged roulette wheels and pre-season polls-samo samo.

So should showing instant replays while coaches can still challenge. Yeah I know it's just football at the moment but it's coming.

Gotta go, re-match of last years NCAA final. I've been reading this and the football thread for the last hour. Let's see where we are TODAY.
Sports fans and military leaders . . . always fighting today's wars with yesterday's facts. Play the game, see who wins. Play the season, see who comes out where.

So with that philosophy we are still #1? Since we won the nation championship this year.:D

Yup.
Looked mighty good too, much more than I and I think most of the world expected with all those frosh and sophs. Congrats.
We'll see how the Dookies do tonight, after Clemson finishes humiliating the Illini cupcakes.

Oops, might have spoken too soon.
Better get back to the game.

Jesus! What the hell Clemson. You blew a 22 point lead. Great job.

You suck.

Thanks Marshall, it was 23 points actually. :flipoff2:

If theres one thing you can say for Purnell he has a philosophy and he stickes to it. Even if the other team is in the middle of a 20-3 run he sticks too it. Even if the other team figured out how to beat a trap and is getting 3 on 2's at the other end every posession he sticks to it. Even if the players decide to play lazy ass sloppy D and blow a huge lead. Not blaming Purnell cause I love the style of ball we play and the aggressiveness and theres only so much he can do he's not playing the damn game. Guys got lazy thinking it was in the bag and by the time they realized it wasn't it was to damn late. There was no energy or intensity from most of the players for about a 12-15 minute stretch in the second half.

The real problem is that we don't throw the ball inside enough though, we have the best post player in the ACC and he only scores 12 points against a sorry Big Ten team. Booker shoul touch the bal every time we cross half court he'll either get 30 a game or he'll get double and triple teamed and other guys will get wide open shots and he'll still get 15 a game. The guards just suck at entry passes. Put Booker in the Notre Dame offense and he'd have the same numbers you see out of Harangody cause he'd touch the ball 15 more times a game. They have got to get off the outside jumper and throw the ball inside.

I had floor seats for the GT - Siena game last night. I am convinced that GT's very young starting five could hang with almost anyone in the country. The problem is that our great coach likes to have all these line changes at every dead ball that the starting five does not actually spend enough time on the court together. Hell, none of our players ever spend enough time on the court with each other to ever develop a rythym and learn their team mates tendanacies. We have so much talent and I will be shocked if we make it to the NCAA tourn. The starting five should be on the court together for 65-70% of every game and I don't think that you should ever have less than three starters on the court at any time (unless there is an uncommon foul/injury trouble that keeps 3 starters on the bench...but that is it). Cremins was one extreme (usually only went 6 deep) and Hewitt is the other extreme (loves to go 10 deep). Can't we find the f'in middle? I think that it is worse than being a Braves fan.

Clemson took USC behind the woodshed again on Sunday, whats that like 4 or 5 yrs since they have managed a win on the hardwood?

There you go again. What was that woodshedding margin? 9?
Two starters out for USC and the point guard couldn't throw a rock in the ocean.
Congrats. That was some impressive showing.

Critical review score; Richard 1, David 2, Marshall -2.

Loss, is a Loss, is a Loss, lets not make excuses for poor shooting, Next you'll say "we only lost cause Demontez Stit and Tanner Smith each scored 14 thats 10 points more then they average for the year". Look at it this way it will help your strength of schedule playing a ranked team from the ACC.
