Yeah the ACC is just so much better its not funny, we should find a new conference to do this with so it will be a little closer.

Well things are going the ACC's way as usual; hopefully JP, Richard and Chuck are in Littlejohn using their senior citizen student discount and pulling for the Tigers after their halftime deficit to Purdue... ;p

KC played pretty well, I dont know why you always ask me that I have been saying hes a solid 2 gaurd for like 2 years now. Last night was tough James Mays is a big loss having Sam Perry sitting isnt helping the situation either. Some of the young guys will have to continue to step up. Still undefeated though.

Really? Make up your mind:

How bout KC Rivers now Andy, he couldnt do anything. Makes me question him a little bit right now.

KC won that game for you the other night, kid's a baller.

Big Televen sucks, the ACC in now 9-0 in the challenge.

Time to find a new conference to beat on. Pac 10 perhaps??? :D

He did suck that game right after you hyped him then he went like 3-11 from the field. But generally speaking he has been solid his whole career and was arguably the best 6 man in the ACC last yr.

You guys have a chance David, were missing two key players and you have some young talented guys on your team.

Good stuff right here.

Especially at the end.:flipoff2:

The Tar Heels own several of the most impressive streaks in college basketball history. They appeared in either the NCAA Tournament or National Invitation Tournament (NIT) every year from 1967 to 2001--including 27 straight appearances in the NCAA tourney from 1975-2001 (the all-time consecutive appearance record) after that competition allowed more than one team from a conference to get a guaranteed bid. Arizona is second to the Tar Heels with a current streak of 23 NCAA Tournament appearances (longest active streak). The Tar Heels also did not have a losing season from 1963 to 2001--the third-longest such streak in NCAA history, second only to UCLA and Bowling Green, who has only made the NCAA tourney 4 times but has made the NIT 53 times since 1950.

From the ACC's inception in 1953 to 2001, the Tar Heels did not finish worse than a tie for fourth place in ACC play. From 1965 onward, they did not finish worse than a tie for third, and from 1965 to 1986 they did not finish worse than a tie for second. Neither of these streaks have been seriously threatened by another ACC team; during this time the ACC's other six charter members finished first at least once and last at least once, and only Clemson failed to win a tournament title.

All of these streaks ended in the 2001-02 season, when the Tar Heels had a dreadful 8-20 season, the worst in school history. They also finished tied for 7th in conference play, behind Florida State and Clemson--their second losing conference record ever (the first being in the ACC's inaugural season).

Additionally, the Tar Heels hold an interesting and possibly unique record in terms of a recurrent head-to-head rivalry. In 53 tries, Clemson has never beaten UNC in men's basketball in a game that was played in Chapel Hill. (The only possible longer streak is Princeton's home dominance of Brown, which stood at 52 straight wins as of 1/14/2003.)

LOL, I really can't believe that every time I read it. I mean, the Tigers have had lots of bad squads but simple odds would say that has to change.

Boy, you're going to get it Marshall if that happens any time soon - I can't imagine the smack talk that would follow that one...

Yeah that might end this yr if we have everyone healthy. This would be our best chance in some time.

Good game for Clemson this weekend. Cocks looked terrible. Clemson def. has some tallent on it's team.. Though they tried to throw it away at the end.

On another note. UNC is back at #1 and beat Kentucky this weekend. Was a good game.

Yeah we have a ton of talent but we are playing all three freshman a lot right now due to injuries and it shows.

True but this is as good a time in the season as any to do that. It could pay big dividends later in the season in tight conference play where your starters may be in foul trouble or injured and those young guys can contribute having some game minutes / experience under their belt.

Very true it will definitely make us better in the end. But it could also hurt if we end up losing 1 or 2 that we shouldnt. Those could be important come selection sunday.

Well we lost, happens to everyone. Miss is darn good they WILL make the tourney this yr. It doesnt help that Mays only played a few minutes on his comeback from injury. Better than losing to someone crappy though. Hopefully they learn from it.
