I've been collecting parts I needed for the past 4 years. Somethings I needed and some things I didn't. 3 years ago I destroyed my transfer case. After a few unsuccessful attempts at having a used one shipped to me I found someone local that had one for sale. It was 4 hours away but the trip turned out to be more of an experience than anything else. I met this guy at his house where he proceeded to show me all his cruisers he had collected. Then we went into his basement where he had shelves loaded with cruiser parts. It was like a dream come true. He had bought and parted cruiser through the years and just put all the parts neatly on the shelves. After talking with him I was on my way. I always wanted a collection like that.

Fast forward to this summer when to my surprise he had the entire collection up for sale on MUD. If I would have had the money then I would have bought it then. I knew what he had. I was waiting for a buyer to come forward any day. A month ago he posted again and had dropped the price in half. I told my wife I needed this and within a couple hr of his thread I had bought it.

Today I finally had the time to go get it. I brought my wifes Pacifica and my 4x8 trailer to get it all. I didn't bring the 80 because with 220k I didn't think it would like me much. Thinking there would be plenty of room. I was wrong. I ended up filling my wifes car all the way to the headliner and the trailer with about 1500lbs in parts. I'll try to go through and document the hoard.

I'll be honest. I cannot keep it all to myself and will probably restore many of the parts and sell them. If Steve or Woody feels like this pimping my s*** please move it to chat. There will be some tech though as I go through everything trying to figure out what year goes with what. And documenting what are the best ways to restore the parts.

Tomorrow I'll be going through everything in the warehouse and laying it all out. There is a lot of stuff.

This was just two boxes.

2X on OMG!!! You don't mind people dropping by to search for small items they need do ya? You haven't told you wife what you have gotten your family into have you? I think you might need to see a therapist. ;)

I'm thinking you ned to buy some land on the outskirts of town to set up your own private idaho. Great collection!!

let me know once you start selling.

Congrats Marshall on an awesome find.......:D ...... the unknown switches could be for additional lights; remember similar on a LC overseas in the late 60s early 70s that had rear lights for working; kinda like fogs but up at the corners; never seen any here in the USA;

The small push pull switches are early E-1970 Room light or dome light switch nice collection.

Yeah, I lost the plastic end on mine and am in the process of carving a wooden tip for it.

I'll take the 4th one from the left of the tumbler on what are these switches

anyway. Nice stash of parts.

Actually I could probably use one of those old school flashers.

Daaaumn!

Nice stash !!! Does the guy (now you) have any intact cruisers?

Thats a lot of work. I took my parts truck apart and boxed most of it. Good learning experience.

You're my new best friend!

Awwwwsome score!

I could use one of those room light swiitches, and a warm pull cable, and if you
have one, a dash mount FST dash light.
Oh, and a set of rear emblems for a 2/71!
Oh, and also one brake warning light, and one turn signal light. If you have spares a couple of the chrome thingies for the dash switches....

I'm also dead serious...:D

I'll be posting in the classifieds what I'm selling when I'm ready. I'd really like to keep this thread more about the shock and awe. No dibs, firsts, seconds, first cousins rights, friends, secret lovers choice or anything like that.

If you see something rare post up. I'll take beter pics of it so it can be documented. I can make molds of just about anything for future reproductions.
