That is truely an amazing find. I don't envy you, as I would have to get a divorce and quite my job just to deal with all of that stuff, but you do have a lot of stuff at a great price no less.:) If you have any wing window restoration pieces you want to get rid of, let me know. That way I can get started on restoring my 71' doors. ;)

my guess is the Cruisers would go 1st.....age and a bad knee....as long as I got a good trigger finger and some eyesite the guns stay

They hold the steering column boot/seal to the firewall, they do not secure, nor do they support the steering column on 08/72 and earlier 40 series trucks, as the steering column is integral to the steering gear assembly mounted on the frame and supported by a bracket at the lower front section of the dash. You can remove those two blue pieces and the steering column will stay in place and function, as it should.


09/72 and later 40 series have a completely different steering gear, column assembly and mounting configuration.
