I'm working on repainting parts of the cruiser. Is it best to put zero rust or POR15 on the bare metal; then prime and do a thin coat of bondo to cover minor holes or imperfections due to rust? Just want to take care of it best I can so that it doesn't come back as easily. Thanks

If you're going to paint over POR 15 make sure you rough up the surface, 320 grit paper or even one of those green scrubbys (a new one works best). I've done this with pretty good results. The POR 15 people also sell this stuff called Tie-coat primer that is applied over POR 15 and is said to "hold" the paint pretty well. The POR 15 people also make this epoxy putty stuff that works really well over POR 15for filling in pits and dings, it's bullet proof, a pain in the ass to sand but worth it. I've never used Zero rust, have read that paint bonds to it without any problems. :D
