Got the transfer case front and rear output seal changed out using my 3D printed seal puller. Hardest part of the job was removing the front driveshaft. Yes, the nuts are staked and torqued.

Also replaced the speedometer gear seals. Got the kit from City Racer. Highly recommend soaking the cylinder in a solvent prior to trying to tear the seal out. I marred the cylinder a bit and had to polish it with my dremel.

Today I had a few minutes to myself. I ordered some gas struts off Amazon for $22.99. installed them in less than 10 minutes. Pretty satisifed with them. 17" struts 120lbs. If I did it again I'd try to find some 90lb struts.

Well it’s been a long and crazy month and a half.

Got married last month and the wedding went off without a hitch.

I do have a ton of body panels and parts stacking up waiting to be installed. My next project is getting the A/C installed as we just hit 100*F here so the cruiser is parked until that happens.

I also got a bunch of electrical parts to wire up an aux relay/fuse block. I made end up posting these for sale pending the outcome.

I put that exact electrical relay/fuse block in both my 40 and 60 for all of my aux stuff, its so great. just make sure you have good crimpers with the right size and shape dies.

I ended up buying the recommended crimpers and tools suggested by Waytek.

Holy cow the inital cost of buying all this stuff in bulk was insane. Only reason I'm considering making a few extra is because I have so much. They really get you with the minimum purchase order.

yup, I but one of them into an old mini-truck I had, so I bought 3, and a friend building a couple trucks as well, so we split the bulk order. I don't think we got it rom Waytek, but it was still a lifetime supply of the pieces for both of us, and come. .

Did you ever get the AC sorted? I’m about to do the same. Mine has all of the parts in there, just all disconnected when I got the truck, so I have no idea what works and what doesn’t. Just curious to know what you’re starting with.

I haven’t started yet. Too hot in AZ to work on stuff. My 60 didn’t come with factory A/C so I’ve been collecting parts.

Gotcha…you’re right about it being too hot, I did the Saginaw box and idler pulley today and it was something like 108 degrees. I was in the garage, but it was just dumb.

Finally starting to cool enough to get some work done. Last night I pulled the brake booster and master cylinder. Would have completed the install but there wasn’t a master cylinder gasket in the box.

I went with the city racer dual diaphragm booster and a master from them as well. The plan is to eventually go to 80 series axles. Hopefully this combo will work with the stock 60 stuff until then.

Finally got the rear installed. Don’t mind the spray paint on the tail gate. Trying to cover up the rust so I don’t cry.

Next projects:
Case rebuild
Gaskets on the engine
Knuckle rebuild

I think I have all the parts I need to add A/C but that will wait until January because I have new inner fenders and a radiator core support to install. They will be line-x’d before install.

I got a huge shipment of parts from @orangefj45

Going under the knife in a couple weeks to rebuild the case, axle, and add A/C among other while I’m in there items.

Also installed my new bezel. I’m switching over to the Tacoma style switches with a RTMR fuse block.
