Let's continue to run the AZBDR trail from central AZ to AZ/UT border and finish out the trail.

This should be a stock-ish rig friendly kind of trip. I think a good set of all terrain tires is about all you really need so that you can air down for comfort and reduce the puncture factor. Trail comm will be with HAM radio as usual.

As always, these trips are dogs and kids friendly. Children must be leashed, dogs can do whatever. :)

The starting point is somewhere near the Mogollon Rim visitor center, yet to be determined. I'll post up here when we nail this down.

Like our past trips, we'll be moving daily with no particular departure time in the morning. I don't tend to move too fast in the mornings as bacon and coffee are a priority.

Fuel range won't be an issue since the route was established by dual sport moto riders. There will be ample opportunities to refuel on the route as well as pickup other supplies as needed. The route takes us through towns and services that we can bypass if we deem necessary.

Post up if you want to join us.

I would love to go, but my wedding anniversary is the 19th and I don’t believe my wife would appreciate me being MIA. Another time.

I seem to recall that part of the route near the Grand Canyon runs on Indian land. Permits are required. I doubt the rez will be open. We might want to come up with a detour just in case.

Shouldn't Tour De Wal-Mart part 2 start at the Payson Wal-Mart?
That said, I don't think I can make it at this point.

Sorry you can't make this one Chris.

Ali, I think he has you figured out.

working on making this so I am a firm maybe. might have to bring the cruiser. having some issues with the 4runner a/c and don't have time to fix it.

Would have liked to do this section of the AZBDR, but I am in between rigs right now. Take some pictures and I hope to be on your Fall adventure, where ever that may be.

You can take a stock rig!
But this stock rig has old street tires on it and until I get a lift for new 33's , it is not off road worthy. Need a roof rack for my RTT, too. Thanks for trying to talk me in to it, though.:D

Nope, not acceptable Jeff, that stockish rig is going to join us. Chop chop amigo

I am at the mercy of the mail and shipping gods, and I am in the middle of selling my 80, so I got to hang around until I get it sold.

I doubt I can pull this trip off, other circumstances prevent my attendance. But you all go and take some great pictures and tell me some great stories about all the cool things you saw and did, and I will suffer and be bummed that I did not get to go.
But" , I'LL BE BACK " ( use a German accent when you read that line, AKA Arnold Schwarzenegger .

Paging @alia176 , can you make a call to Guido the Punisher? I know it's not his usual gig, but we need somebody to put unorthodox pressure on Jeff.
