If I could afford to spend 48k on a shop truck, I'd own about 10 Land Cruisers already... :)

Glad I put a smiley at the end or you might have taken me seriously...

i am dismayed at the lack of interest with the sale of this truck. If there is something I'm missing, please offer some constructive criticism.

and I'm not speaking in terms of "market place or marketing strategies". I felt like mud would be the perfect platform to list a truck like this, perhaps not per a prominent sales platform but at the very least attract viewers and analyzers who would find pros and cons on a professional level. I would be more than ok with that. I get the ominous feeling that the majority of the viewers have absolutely NO IDEA at what that they are looking at.

I have seen monstrosities sell over the last few years far north of what I'm asking for this truck. again, I am completely stupefied at not only the lack of interest this truck has been given but the inquiries seem to revolve around consumers looking to fill a mid life crisis void asking questions like "what does it drive like"

my simple answer to that overly asked simple question for any of you still wondering, it drives much better than any 1964 FJ45 SWB truck you will probably ever sit in.

My own feeble attempt at 2 cents would be that mud is not a great place to sell high end rigs. There’s folks on here that can afford your beautiful 45, but the majority of us have less money in our pockets than rigs in our garage.

I sold my high end 45 swb fixed top on FB for very close to your asking to someone new to the LC market. I’d say you need to expand your audience via FB or bringatrailer or Barrett Jackson or …. Your 45 should have very good appeal to collectors or folks who find it so unique that they just gotta have it.

I caution you though, watching your 45 on a trailer leaving your property is absolutely heartbreaking!

Sean, don't question it, you just need a bigger audience. I think you have it under priced. I just sold a FJ45 on Bat, it closed under the reserve and we negotiated after the auction and it sold for 84k. I would do a reserve of 60k and see where it goes.

I love your 45. You did an outstanding job and it's worth every penny. I personally could never afford it. I like using my Cruisers, getting them dirty, wrenching on them, hunting for parts, and driving lots of miles and not worrying too much if they get a dent or scrape. I think that's part of the reason it hasn't sold. Too nice to beat up and drive and it's perfect and complete, so it's not a project. It's either going to a museum, or to someone with big pockets who won't really appreciate how special it is. That's how I see it anyway.

If money were no object, I would love to load up the bed with camping gear and some tools and hit the road for a couple of months! I bet if you did that and took lots of pics of your amazing 45 and all the fun you're having with it, you would be able to sell it pretty easily when you got back, although you might not want too. I know I wouldn't if it were mine.

I hope it goes to a real enthusiast.
