Hey Guys,
Posting this in this forum, because there does not seem to be much info or interest in these topics on the regular 60 forum. I have a few questions and I'm hoping to get some education.
Current set up: 80-series rear axle. 60-series axle up front with tundra disc brake conversion. Both have 3.73 gearing. I am sitting on OME suspension (springs and shocks). 265/70/17's. LS-swap.
Axle Questions: I would like to know if my current set up will work and have some other questions.
1: Will my current set up work if I got up to 35's?
2: Options for beefing up my axles and keep my front discs?
3: Can I upgrade to Dana 60's? It seems none are specific for Toyota applications. However, I know this would provide me plenty of options if I decide to BIG one day.
Suspension: Since I do 80% on-road, I want to keep it safe.
1: Is 3/4 link safe and manageable with a pan hard bar?
2: Is a radius-arm set up ideal? Is there a kit on the market?
I'm welcome to any input or questions you all have. I'm looking to learn, so that when I make a major investment, it is not a waste of money. I likely won't be able to do this myself, so I am looking for some shops too. If you know someone I should reach out to, please let me know.
Thanks,
JB
