What have you all seen for the fill openings? I've seen Downey's one thaqt he sells and wondered if there were any others. My '66 tlc has a hole in the rear 1/4 from the PO and wanted to either fill it or open it up for an aux. tank. BTW, I'm using a 350 tbi engine.

Thanks,

Here is mine

I put mine in the back as well. I used a plastic insert bucket and filler neck from a jeep. It's hidden under the spare tire carrier. Went this route since I really don't like the uneven hieght side facing fillers on most aux setups.

That almost looks to low but WOW its already there ,use it.

It would be difficult to put it any higher. You're comment about its already there implies that the PO did it - wrong. It was installed where I intended it to be installed. It is above the tank and works just fine. I appreciate your permission to use it.

Presently it is ~ 1/2" from the top of the wheelwell. I talked to Downey and he was fine with it. Apparently his newly designed fill necks with work...I have to pick one up in a few weeks after they are finished.

Looks great Bsevans....where did you source the filler door/housing?

One gets these from a donor tub. Great mod, I like how OE it looks, knowing it was never located there, but should have been.

I got it from Classic Cruisers in CO. They had a large stock yard of donor vehicles when I called to purchase the fuel door assembly with fill tube.
