I'm amazed how well works AC up there .. ( no humidity ) it's a real miracle I see my vent temps under 50°F ..

My old 40 series AC output on R12 30.4°:flipoff2:

here is a video my son and I made that may help..

Just got my Land Cruiser about a month ago, I’ve watched this video 2-3 times and it’s extremely helpful, and living in Alabama I see this as a necessity. Will be ordering a kit ASAP

Yeah.....I miss R12 refrigerant. I have 2-3 cans sitting on my shelf in my shop from bygone days.

My first vehicle (high school) was a 1966 Mustang GT 289 HiPo. It had an under dash A/C unit (added at the dealer) that would literally blow little ice particles out of the vent on the hottest summer day here in Texas.

Hi guys.

A despite that this its and old thread, im facing a few problems with my 3fe 80 series. When the ac its working, i dont have a raise of the temp, at least its not noticeable, but the fan clutch dont "disengage" and when i turn off the truck, the coolant start to spill out by the reservoir, what can i do to solve this? I have a brand new radiator (well, was new almost a year ago) and also oem radiator cap (2 weeks ago). Without the ac working, i dont have this kind of problems.

I’m running a factory auxiliary fan from a 2nd gen 4Runner in my 94.
I also modified my stock fan clutch. I only use the aux. fan when I am on the trails going slow with the ac on. Nice having when the trails are dusty as all hell and you can roll comfortably with your windows up, ac blasting and engine running cool.

Or stop and go traffic when it’s hitting the triple digits and I wanna keep the ac working more efficiently.
I know the post is old. Want to know if the 2nd gen 4runner fan install in stock bolt location or did you fabricate a mount? What wiring did you use? Thanks

It’s not mounted in the stock position. I made some brackets for it. I just wired it using a basic switch and a relay. Still works great!

Sorry to bother but do you have a picture of it installed?
Thanks
I got one from the junkyard and been thinking of where to install it.
