Thanks for the tips.

Just got the roll bar mounts and large sized quick fists in the mail today. They fit my co2 tank and stripper pole perfectly.

Figured out the annoying intermittent code 25/26. It was a brand new O2 sensor that came damaged. I just never noticed it when I installed it.

Small flat spot on the corner.

So during these hot summers in Sacramento my ac tends to not want to be so cold while driving in stop and go traffic. I recently found an electric fan from a 2nd gen 4Runner. I am going to wire the switch up to work only when the engine is on. This way when in stop and go traffic or on the trails I can keep the ac blowing nice and cold and keep the engine temps under 200*.

I ran into a problem with my current power steering cooler. I had it mounted in the passenger side but the new fan will be taking its place and it is to thick to put behind the grill. So I ordered the Hayden PS cooler. It is much thinner and will give me the perfect amount of clearance.

I used some old pieces of metal to make the mounting brackets for the fan. I just need to cut the excess off and paint them.

Before

This is where it will be mounted

Replaced my brake rotors with some nee ones and threw in some 100 series pads.

I also replaced the inner and outer bearings and seals while I was in there.
What rotors & 100 brake pads do you go with?
Your build is looking mighty set up now.

I went with the Power Stop rotors from Rock Auto and the 100 series pads are the golds from Auto Zone.

Almost exactly a year later...question is still valid :flipoff2:

lmfao! I know man. I am getting married in September so we've been laying pretty low trying to plan and save for the wedding. we are going to gold lake though.

Well congrats! I hope that means you're coming on the Snake Lake trail :)

@jcardona1
Thanks man!!
yes this year I am.

I'm scared of heights and that trail gives me hella bad anxiety just thinking about rolling off that bitch!

Haha oh come on it's not that bad! First few times I ran the trail counterclockwise which is going down the big Snake Lake Hill. This last time the guys went clockwise, going up the hill. I much prefer to go up that steep ass hill vs down. Lots of butt pucker going down.

Yeah it's a butt puckering for sure!! But I'm gonna do it this year.

Here is the painted fan cage and brackets. Fan installed and ready to be wired. Now just waiting on the new PS cooler and I'll throw the grill back on.

Finished the install today. I planned to use a repurposed Toyota switch but I like the way this one fit in the factory hole. I have it powered only when the ignition is on. Seems to suck a good amount of air! I might move it a little closer to increase the airflow through the core.

Finished the project. Shipping got delayed by 2 days. The cooler is a little smaller then the one I had but it's still better then stock.

I mounted it directly behind the trans cooler. Flushed all of the PS fluid while I was at it.

The grill fits no issues. Now just need to find spacers to get the horns mounted and put back in there.

looks like it came from the factory that way haha , Im going to do this on my Tacoma as well

So a couples years back at the pismo jamboree I won a set of the Run Cool hood louvers. I finally got around to installing these bad boys.

I taped off the area that I wanted to cut out out. I used an angle grinder and a cut off wheel.

Here is the cut out with the 80 holes drilled for the rivets. (40 per side )

Then I drilled some holes in the supports to help the ventilation a little more.
Afterwards I gave it a coat of white paint.

Here's the final product all riveted in.

Did you use a relay? I'm not sure the power that fan draws but in my last rig I did the same thing and the switch would get super hot and I'd go through 2 switches a summer before I finally added a cheap universal relay.

I did use a relay. I used a basic one from the auto parts store. It's good insurance and will prevent the switch from burning up and causing any other catastrophic issues.

Oh cool. I was stubborn or lazy can't decide which one and bought a 30 amp switch that lasted but still got hot. Adding a relay was a great fix, guess you like doing things right the first time around ;)

It adds some piece of mind. "Like" no I hate it, but with my luck if I didn't I'd blow my truck up or something worse, blow my nuts off!
