I shift up at 1,900 ~ 2,100 RPM, and shift down at 1,500 RPM. 
At what RPM do you change gear?

Doesn't work for us gassers. During a casual acceleration I'll shift at about 2800.
I let the 22R-E hit 3k before I shift while regular driving. Don't know about a diesel.
between 3-4k.
