I need a new manual window regulator for my driver side. (With vent window) I have three sets of doors and all have worn out regulators on the driver side. I see the OEM regulators are NLA so can anyone recommend an aftermarket brand that is decent quality?

If I HAD to, I could probably sacrifice a passenger side one, flip the gear and piece a driver side together. Not sure it's worth the effort.

dude just tig that shyt up. :flipoff2:
you might really be better off doing the passenger side swap thing though. hard to trust anything aftermarket these days.
on a serious note, the number 1 killer of regs are crusty runs.

I saw a few posts on other forums where some aftermarket brand had a plastic gear and didn't last a year. I guess I'll pull all my regulators and make a good driver side one unless someone posts up a decent replacement. So someone PLEASE post up something. :crybaby:

Your answer is in your second picture. AISIN. You can get them reasonably at Rockauto.com, <$30.

The only AISIN I saw there were for electric windows. There were plenty of manual ones. I don't know what the difference is between vent window and non but I'll find out when I pull the regulators I have.

I'll take another look to make sure I didn't miss any manual AISIN ones. Thanks.

No AISIN for manual with vent windows. I see the ACI brand at least specs a hardened steel gear. Might be the way to go. Now I need a coupon code.

Ordered 👍

Correct, they only have AISIN regulators for non vent window doors.

I figured that I should update this thread for future reference. I got the aftermarket regulators from RockAuto and they look to be built as well as the originals. Maybe slightly better. Maybe 🤔. Here's the new one compared to two wore out and abused originals.

I measured the thickness of all three. The aftermarket one is the same. The gear design is slightly different and no slot on the slider that bolts to the window. Both are beefier. The shaft where the window crank goes on has more spline surface as well. These are made in Taiwan and I feel pretty good about the quality.

NOTE these are for doors WITH vent windows.

AISIN is still available for the non vent window doors at this time.

I have gone this route and they last about 3 years. Unfortunately it’s the best option I’ve found. The key to long life is well lubricated window guides.
