Cruise Moab 2019. Wasn't particularly wet, but you can tell who has flaps and who doesnt.

Actually, 2019 Cruise Moab was quite wet. Just depends on what trails you took:

Rained so hard and so long that Kokopelli trail was canceled…

A few days in I showed up to the trail head to do the night run of Hell’s Revenge in a massive hail/rain downpour, to discover it was canceled.

So…we did this…
(My 200’s fender well… 😬)

Sliders…

Skids & other armor underneath…

And this… 80…

Last but NOT least… 2019 was the water crossing that led to the infamous @indycole ala “ARB Snorkel sales pitch of the century” that continues still. 😂

So… It was wet. About killed myself removing cement-like Moab Mud in corners of my undercarriage I didn’t even know were corners for several weeks. 😂

You’re not lying about that Moab dirt, holy lord. We stopped a 3 car washes throughout a 3 week trip only to get home and me to find that stuff hiding everywhere underneath the LC. It was inside every hole, nook, and cranny. The name of the website really rings true.

You're right. When posted that, I had just looked at few shots and it looked decently dry.

Looking back at more shots, definitely some water. You also reminded me of the snorkel pitch.

Are these 5 all spoken for?

If not count me in too. I would be happy to be the cold weather tester/snow tester. Stock 2018.

I'm hoping to get a lot of variability with the first handful of kits. I have someone lined up with a Toyota with tundra front and dissent rear.

If you want consideration, please post vehicle year, model (LC/LX), tire size, rear bumper details, and spacer/tundra swap info.

I'll be picking people based on that info.

2021 LC HE
P285/65R18
1 inch spacers
Dissent rear and stock front(For now)Dissent Full replacement in future.

I'll get in here I guess.
I will be upfront, I don't do a ton of offroad, but it would test how well they hold up to MN winters...
2016 200
Stock bumpers
Tough dog suspension 1" front 1.5" rear, or so.
285/65/18

It's gonna be a bit before I get all the tooling set up to make these, but I'd like the first few kits to go out to people with various setups to verify fitment.

I will offer a good discount to whomever is first to volunteer with the following setups:

  • Dissent rear with 285/75/18 (seems to be the most common larger tire size) or other common size.
  • Slee rear with 285s or some other common size
  • Tundra front conversion with 285s or other common size
If you have the tundra conversion, larger tires, and one of the aftermarket bumpers all installed on your truck, I'll give you an even bigger discount.

If the flaps don't end up working out for you, I'll offer a full refund and pay to ship them back.

I'll put names next to the categories if people volunteer.
I have an 08 LX with a rear Dissent bumper and slee sliders. I am in need of covering up some ugly hole(space) after removing part of the inner plastic guard. Can send you some pictures for reference.

Is this in your rear wheel fender well? My driver side has a big space, Dissent bumper as well.

I believe its on both driver and passenger side and both on front and rear. I’ll try to get some pictures up tonight.
Cool, I’m curious to see it. The fender well on my passenger side is filled really well with stick liner thing and it provides fairly easy access to the aux tank breather filter. Drivers side is totally different.

1st pic is front driver side. 2nd is rear driver side.

Yours is like mine and it’s a massive trap for mud and dust, I think I have souvenirs from every off pavement drive I’ve made to date.

One thing I did notice that’s different on yours is the white sheet metal area circled in red. Mine seems to hang out further than yours and I’ll need to grind mine down to get a mud flap to mount in there. I wonder what’s different about our installs.

Thanks for sharing photos! The one thing I'm not 100% on with the dissent is if the flap will be pushed into the wheel well by the two large bolts. I've been trying to think of solutions, and the only thing I've managed to come up with is the user needing to cut the flap material around those bolts.

I'll hopefully have the first few sets ready to go in a week or two.

Stay tunned
