wow that is amazing

That sure looks nice.

A hidden rear winch that would still allow you to have a spare tire swing out would be so much better than that rear monstrosity. I don't think I have ever seen vents on a hardtop like that. eBay folks would have kittens over something like this.

I say 18K for Craigslist... 35k on eBay.

What's up with the driver's door seal contact cement? Seems like there was a lot of modifications to a 1 month driven cruiser.

The modifications thing was my thought, too. And what's with the speckles on the firewall behind the clutch pedal?

It would be interesting to see shots of the dash, the seats, the underside and the engine compartment.

BJ42 features, factory..

I emailed him... couldn't resist. He's stating that's he's listed it for a friend who has loads of cash and modified it straight out of the box. I couldn't get a price out of him or an appt to see it. He says he thinks his friend's idea of what it's worth might be unrealistic...Asked for more pics...didn't get any.

That is a beauty!! I'd say $40k+ especially if the mileage is correct. I don't know about where you guys live, but I'd have a better chance finding a Unicorn to ride around on than one of those in my neck of the woods.

Lots of fishy details. looks like a restoration. It's a nice one, but I don't believe it's a true survivor.

Something does seem fishy about it.
I have seen original rigs and the cad plating was not that bright, if I recall correctly. The cad hardware was the first thing that caught my eye. The same for the wheels, not original.

It may be but it just looks like a resto

VERY nice all the same.

EDIT. I just hit the link at the top. It has been removed:hhmm:

Anyone taking a pic of the cad plating knows what it means to people in the market for $30K plus 40s. That, in and of itself is kind of fishy. I agree, it is a little too bright and taking into account other anomalies I call bull ****.

I guess I just don't understand why somebody can't just call it a good restoration. It's not like it's not a nice truck! Just say what it is and run with it.

This one might have been spam, but I've seen a lot of other ones recently that are clearly restorations that they try to push off as survivors.

To tell the truth, I'd rather have a restoration where I don't feel so badly about doing modifications to it. With a true survivor I wouldn't want to touch it and personally I'm not that interested in a truck like that.

The reason not to call it a resto is the difference between a 2800 km truck and a 102800 km truck. That is a pretty significant difference in value to most people. Of course, it's also fraud. But how are you going to prove that without some records showing mileage above what's on the odo?

I think it's possible that the truck is truly what it's being represented as but I also think it's unlikely.

Too many signs of use and work to be a truck with 2000 miles... In that condition, I really don't see too much more $ for the mileage difference... the BODY is where the money is and with these things 102K miles is still nothing. Even 202K miles with a resto like that would fetch similar dollars.

Just my opinion, but I think we overestimate the number of people looking for a garage queen 40.
