ARB Twin compressor mount (1 Viewer)

We have created a bolt in mounting system for the ARB twin compressor. Compressor sits in the back right part of the engine bay. This will work in all AHC equipped vehicles. Depending on the year a few things will have to be moved but they all mount to factory hole locations near by, no drilling is required.

Along with the compressor mount there is a bracket to mount the ARB manifold kit. If there is no AHC there is enough room to mount the 1 gallon tank also.

That appears to be where my second battery is mounted (Slee bracket). Has anyone asked you to come up w/ a solution to mount it in addition to a second battery? Great looking product otherwise.

It does use the second battery location but for this we are also creating a battery tray that will mount two batteries in the stock battery location. It will work for two group 34 batteries, we are using the Die-hard battery for mock up but will also fit the odyssey battery. We still need to tweak it a little but other than that it should be good to go.


Slickspawn - Unfortunately it wont work with the single compressor. We use the 4 inside holes on the dual compresor to mount it. It would work if you wanted to drill 2 more holes though.

I did mine in a similar location, but flat instead of vertical. I fabricated my own mounting bracket. Note pic's. (Yes, I know, I don't have my batteries wired to an isolator yet. It's in my garage and haven't had time yet to do it...)
Also regarding theside00's comment about using up a second battery location, just use 2 Odyssey (PC1200) batteries and mount them as shown.

I just got the bracket today. I got the compressor mounted, but didn't start on the wiring yet. It seems very solid. A couple of the points on the instructions either weren't entirely clear or didn't quite work for me, but I was able to get it in without any big hassles.

I went out today looking for connectors so that I would be able to wire everything up tonight. There are two 10 gauge wires and one 8 gauge wire that I need to terminate with a ring connector to the battery terminals.

I thought I had seen a connector that had the solder already inside so that all you had to do was heat the connector with a torch, insert the stripped wire end, let it cool, and then seal it up with heatshrink. None of the autoparts stores near me seemed to have anything like this - just crimped connectors.

What's the best way to terminate these wires for the compressor? Thanks.

Maybe check with your local auto sound system installer. They may have the connectors or know where to get them.

Radio Shack and most name brand auto parts stores have stereo connections for heavy loads.

Thanks guys, tonight I was able to get the power run from the battery to the compressor and the switch harness run into the cabin on the drivers side. But of course that leads me to my next question:

Inside the cabin I need to tap into a 12v switch wire and a dash illumination wire. I pulled the lower dash off below the steering wheel but I couldn't figure out what was what. Can anybody point me to which color wires coming from which harness I need to tap?

Edit: Figured it out. Tapped the Green wire for illumination and the red/blue wire for power coming out of the rear vent window controls. Everything is running great. That compressor really hums along.
