Just checked 4WP and they have a 10% off promotion right now, with free in-store pickup. Comes out to $767.69 plus tax for me.

Just called 4 wheel parts (OKC, 100 miles from me). $750+shipping to their facility+tax= north of $900. About the same story from everybody I've talked to:frown:.

Like Auburn said, if you go online right now they have 10% off and it would come out to be $675.89 + $54.07 tax = $729.96, but you have to p/u in OKC. Just make sure to select "Pickup In-Store" and put an OKC zip like 73101 and it will let you select that store.

Now, if you're willing to wait, I bet they'll have a better promo during Thanksgiving or closer to Xmas. And if you sign up for their emails, you may even get a coupon code for new customers like the one they sent me after I signed up. It saved me 20%.

And of course, there are the other suggestions already given about calling up ARB directly for slightly scratched items. Or call Kurt. Can't hurt to try. Just don't give up. :D

So far it seems that 4wheel parts has it for 675.00 shipped to my door.
Picked up my ARB winch bumper from 4WP for $6xx something to my door. Was a couple of years ago however. Keep an eye out for those specials.

Yeah what I posted above seemed about the same but they wanted to charge me like 75 bucks to ship it. As I said before though on the sale page they have free shipping so I was curious if they would include that with the bumper. And if we are all getting bumpers anyway would they consider a group discount.

So did anyone find any good deals on one? I'm in the market for one.
x2

I was considering one a month or so ago, but didn't want to spend the money then. Now I'm ready, and it looks like the prices have gone up substantially..........hey ARB: steel prices are way down and the dollar is way up....what gives?

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions where I can find a deal out there - or if any are coming up in the near future (winch bumper only for me) - please let me know (I even called ARB about pre-scratch-and-dent units [I say "pre," because I know it's going to happen anyway], and they said the 80 damaged bumpers are their most common ones and they have them from time to time. Translation: that means I'll buy a new one, and the day it shows up, ARB will call to tell me they found several and will sell me one for $300 (delivered) if I just take it off their hands...........just getting prepared for the inevitable!

I want one sorta soon (tires are on their way), so any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

OH how I wished I had a big beefy bumper the other evening when a redneck in a in a very dusty lil rice burner (the whole package screamed Creek county meth idiot)flew by me on I-44 westbound in rush hour traffic....he passed me w/ mere inches to spare so I flashed my brights on him........he totally locked up his brakes to the point of smoke roiling off his tires. I bright flashed him again...same response and an arm and the 1 finger salute. Mind you this locking up action caused me to SLAM on the brakes HARD; which pretty much re-aranged everything in my 80 (including the dog in the kennel box).
IF IF IF I had a good bumper I would have not been so eager to stop (it was probably 36" from contact both occurances).
Hmmm what woulda happened? Would he have flipped? Would he have lived? Would I have lived? Was he armed?
No matter; just get big bumper so the rig would have fared best.
He had me on FULL pissed mode. (= if I were armed he would have been probably target practice)
Amazing how a lil road rage comes out of us all.okay me.

Have you guys all called the venders that support our TLCs and found out what they could do on these.

I would much rather buy from one of the small venders that works mostly with Land Cruisers even if I have to pay a couple extra bucks. I would just hate to see a couple of the small guys that provide our TLC only parts gone, and not be able to get anything but parts from XYZonlinediscount.com but no service or info other than a cheap parts.

Let's support the companies that support our TLCs....

not really sure if this will contribute to the discussion.

ARB imports through the port of Seattle/Tacoma. I contacted them and asked if they had any scratch-n-dent in the warehouse. I actually paid through one of thier dealers, but picked up a bumper with a small scuff for about $500 (I think, it's been awhile) from thier warehouse outside Seattle. Compared to the rest of my truck, the scuff fits right in.

Insurance has already paid, they need to get space in the warehouse so I thought they should have cut the price a little more, but on the other hand ARB is built so that no real seriuos damage can happen on the boat and the bumper/bull bar was just fine. Of all the makes & models ARB carries, I was lucky they had exactly what I wanted.

Google'em & give them a call, maybe you can work with your local dealer and everybody wins.

Ah yes, been talking with ARB back and forth a bit. They finally located a non-winch "Scratch" (not Dent) version for $485+ the ride. It's shipping tomorrow:).

Sweet deal. I'll have to stop by and see your rig when I go visit my folks in Tulsa end of this month.

I just got off the phone with 4 Wheel Parts and bought one for $767 plus tax ($832 total) and will pick it up at the store in Seattle. Still trying to decide whether to use the ARB rear bumper or the Kaymar, and at almost $500 more for the ARB with swing away spare mount I think the Kaymar is winning hands down. Besides, I like what I see in 80t0ylc's rig and he can't be wrong.;):D

To be honest, I haven't seen the ARB rear bumper before. A little web surfing yields 1 pic on arbusa's site on a rig that I can't tell what it is. ARB comes grey metalic powdercoat and I think Kaymars still come black. For comparison purposes:

In 2001 I bought my ARB Bullbar at Central 4 Wheel Drive in Portland, OR for $640 (no tax)
In 2003 I bought my Kaymar from MAF for $725, tire carrier $380, $118 shipping.

Both these bumpers are very sturdy and have done their jobs excellently. Stood up to my abuse and I've got no complaints. Well worth what I paid for them in the protection and usefulness of each. I bought the ARB to mount my winch, mainly. The protection that it provides is a bonus. I bought the Kaymar mainly for the swingout tire carrier and the built in receiver hitch and protection were bonuses in my book. I hope this helps prospective buyers!

Did you check trdparts4u.com first? I paid $740 for one through them a couple months ago. Drove down to ARB in Renton and picked it up. I avoid 4WP like the Plague.

I just got the winch bull bar from 4 Wheel Parts for my 94. Their website says $854.00 plus shipping and I got it for $826 at the local store plus tax....no shipping.

I thought ARB bumpers neither scratched nor dented, what with being roo killers and all :rolleyes::flipoff2:

I don't know if it's possible to do with ARB, but I did it with a TJM bumper. I found a certafied dealer that didn't keep any in stock and he drop shipped it to my Dad's work (commercial address). It was just under $500 for the bumper and free shipping.
