If you have factory springs use factory bushings, if you are running lift springs your choices are limited. The factory bushings are better riding and the dont sqeek, like poly bushings do. Rubber bushings ride better but they dont last as long as poly. They are easily replaced,so do what makes you happy

That's what I'm running. I made the mistake of not getting greaseable pins so my springs squeak pretty bad. Kinda hard to hear most of the time with motor noise etc. but if you try to hear them you can

How are they holding up?

poly bushings suck. they get hard as a rock and I have the greasable pins and bolts and they get lots of grease, they still suck. They wear fast so IMO use rubber and grease em and just change em every couple of years or more often. I got some that stay pretty good and others that waste after 2 trips so you will learn which ones wear out faster than others on your springs.

I just ordered new bushings from SOR. I read other threads/warnings about JT. Now I am considering ordering Shackles, and Greasable bolts. Any thoughts wanted on what and where to buy. Also I want to keep it at a zero lift.

Just fine

How are they holding up?

There is still a good gap from the springs to the shackles. I'd say they are just fine

What is the difference between silicone grease and silicone lube?
I did get my bushings from SOR today. The bushings fit perfectly. I am using Marine lube on them untill I decide what to do about replacing the springs.
My shackle pins (m12 by 1.50) needed to be worked on a little with a threader to clean them up. I think when they were pounded out (with BFH) it compressed the threads little.

Got my new rubber bushings from SOR in and installed the front ones. Spring side bushungs came out easy(worn in two ) top side was a PITA..... had to use a pry bar and a lot of cussing to get them out (not worn like the bottom but hard as a brick). Must say they make a big diffrence. Now to do the rear. Off till the 5th of January so plenty of time to get some things done.

I have greasable pins that I ordered from SOR at the time, and polybushings - I am happy with those and they are holding up fine for the last 3 years

I would not buy the SOR pins again but go with the Man-a-Fre because the grease nipples on the SOR models can shear off on rocks (BTDT ); the MAF design is better if you wheel like I do - I got the anti-inversion type this year (just on the rear)

both companies have stock and extended length; the latter can help is the rear is sagging :hillbilly:

Would it make more sense to bore a hole into the case around the bushing and then put a zerk fitting so grease can be directly applied into bushings? Then you dont need to buy greasable pins or replace broken pins. Just a question if anyone has a comment.
