Anyone here have a BumpItOffRoad front winch bumper with a Superwinch EP9?

I currently have an EP9.0 mounted on the bottom of the rails behind the OEM bumper....

The bumper recently got smashed by a refrigerator on the highway, so I've been looking for a decent low buck plate style winch bumper to replace it :meh:

I've pretty much decided on a BIO plate bumper like this :)

Thing is, it appears that I have to relocate the winch to a higher position between the rails :hhmm:

However, I don't want the winch to be visible above the bumper :meh:

I plan on adding a removable cover plate, but I wanna get an idea of how much taller I need to make it :hhmm:

Here's a pic from BIO's website with a Warn M8000, which is similar in size to the EP9

Anyone know if this is with the winch mounted above the rails or half way up somehow

Do these bumpers actually come with a mount built in or will I have to fab it?

My brother has a BIOR plate bumper with a milemarker 12k Hydro installed. From what I can remember is that the winch bolts on to a plate that goes across the bottom of the frame rails. (I can verify today... ) So much like your current setup except with additional steel that makes the bumper.

You can add additional tubes to the bumper when you place the order..

That looks really good :)

Any issues with headlight glare on the tubes?

So you're saying the bumper has a winch mount built in?

If so, does the mount sit below the rails or above? (or between?)

98 Snake, whats with the wires running from rack to front end on your first pic? I have seen this from time to time and never knew what it was for. Is it just for looks or what? Thanks.

G.I. Joe ziplines ;)

Actually, they're limb risers :)

They basically lift branches over your windshield while driving in the Bush

OK, brother looked and the winch mounts to a plate across the top of the frame rails.

Some close up shots of the milemarker 12k hydro and Bump-It Bumper. By the way, the winch plate is integral to the bumper chassis

Judging from your pics it looks like you can modify the bumper for your current winch/plate setup but the only problem would be the opening for the fairlead... Of course a plasma cutter would be required and possibly a MIG to tie reinforcements in after the notching.

Thanks for the photos :)

The bars look like they cover the top of the headlights, so I'll have him make them a little taller :o

Unfortunately, Mike's not taking any new orders until March, so I've got a bit of a wait :frown:

As for the winch, I'd have to see exactly where the bumper mounts on the frame, but I think you might be right about modding the bumper for the current setup :hhmm:
