I'm going collector Insurance for now and then I'll work on the other options for the long run !!

So you've got stated value insurance, and the DMV doesn't require an emission test?

they do, and it passes when well adjusted

But, what if you're in a car accident and the insurance company finds out you lied on your mileage ?? Couldn't they deny coverage ??

They could and probably would deny coverage if you lied, so you don't lie about what you have and do your best to stay within the rules and if some un-insured bonehead hits you you're covered. The rules suck but insurance is good to have.

It's the insurance company agent that verifies your mileage. It would be his ass if HE lied on it, so he bettter make sure your covered. John

If you are interested in a cheap cat, I have just what you need. It is 2.5" ID on both ends, has a heat shield and two air tubes that are blocked off if you don't need them. It is 16" long, and BRAND NEW. It has been fit up and test run on a Camero, but it was never welded on, and never driven on the street. It is not even discolored from heat. First $50 takes it. You get first pick if you want it, since I never would of dug it up out of my junk pile unless you had started this thread. John
