any pics of 40 series running tall exhaust stacks for water fording?

Not the one I was thinking of, and no exhaust stack...but whatever..it worked.

Works with a diesel. If you bog a gas motor the backpressure will kill the engine pretty easily. Ask me how I know.

Somewhere I have a photograph of a couple guys in a mighty mite in a river with only the snorkel, the exhaust, steering wheel and their heads and shoulders above the water.

How do you know?... I was planning on putting one on my 2005 SR5 V8 4Runner, will it really kill the motor? I'm sure someone will ask so yes I will be crossing very large and deep rivers fairly regularly. We are doing this to our starter expedition rig for our company in Honduras. :)

found another one on google. Mine will look like this but will be coming out of rear quarter panel, hole already cut but this is how my stack will look.

One of the Aussie 4WD mags out here has a pretty famous cut down green troopy & it has an exhaust stack.

Ruthy and Milo - pretty cool rig with a 13BT in it. He also has an FJ45 pickup with a big block V8 which I think also has a stack.

the exhaust shop is going to make it, at least the stack itself, probably go to my weld shop for a stainless expanded type metal for heat shield. stack will be 409 stainless to match my exhaust. will post pics this wed or thursday.

Yes please post pics and any details... When my rear bumper gets in that's on the list to get done. Thx!

I've been thinking about going this route with exhaust. So it will not work with a gas motor?
