Any CSC Hikers? Got Caminito Del Rey? (1 Viewer)

Caminito Del Rey anyone been? Just added it to the bucket list and looking for others that have experienced it. I find engineering and said impossible builds of the early 1900 fascinating and this trail definitely qualifies.

I do see a slight comparison but Caminito Del Rey appears to have a much bigger adrenaline component.

Have you done Picacho peak on the way to Tucson?

No. When I was in the valley I hit South Mountain and Camelback parks to hike. When I headed South it was for the border

The Catwalk in New Mexico is the only thing similar I can think of semi locally, although without the exposure.

If the exposure is what you’re looking for, the Via Ferrata in Telluride will get it for you without the trip to Europe.

Definitely a couple ticks up from climbing on the Goat Trestle Bridge. Maybe more than I can handle the more I look

The video (2014) that made be second think this. For me as an Union x-elevator constructor its not a height thing.

That video was from 2014 before the renovation. It is very safe and easy now

Yes, great views and a pretty unique experience without leaving the US.

It may be crowded now that the word is out. The trailhead parking lot is tiny and two way traffic on the cables is challenging, so try to go early.
