Park City UT to San Diego. Boondocked south of Vegas to break up the drive.
California is the worst place to tow. I’d rather tow in Wyoming in 50mph winds than deal with the drivers in CA and the silly 55 mph towing speed limit.
Good trip and the clouds behaved. This is from north of Junction TX. Just a cell phone photo during totality. I have others including a time lapse that need processing.
THank you.
Many people have helped me over the years here and they continue to do so. I have bought cruisers here. Never sold one. They seem to accumulate at my house. People here have been my family and it has been wonderful.
I really am...
Hello everybody ;-)
It hasn’t been a week, exactly but I’ve just collected my car from the wrapper last night and put on the new tyres today.
- satin wrap, dual colour
- alloys renovated and powder coated in satin black
- rear “LC” decor, rear...
I’ve been messing with the sway bars on the LX in an attempt to increase front end articulation. Not that it needs it and it’s perfectly slinky. But tweaking is my illness. In this case, taking advantage of added suspension travel provided by...
Greetings All,
This writer captures why I enjoy my Land Cruiser HE (LCHE interesting abbreviation) more than any personal/family vehicle owned, and why I’ll daily drive on many adventures it until it dies (long live the V8)—or pass it on to my...
1- stealth wealth. People buy these things and run them for 10+ years. Why? Cars are crappy investments
2- reliability. When my wife’s truck goes down, the entire family suffers. The 200 won’t ever leave her stranded, is easy to work on, and...
After the 100th close call during the frequent snow/rain storms out here, I decided to install rear fog light. I bought the OEM stalk and was going to do a bunch of custom wiring until I heard a relay click in the dash after installing the new...
Out to the Panamint Valley and some side trails into the Argus Mountains today.
The wind was at a full gale. Difficult to walk.
Incredible view from an upper mine adit. It came out on the side of a cliff.
A more interesting part about 100...
I plan on driving to TX and sleeping in the back of the cruiser. I’ll find a truck stop or similar. I’ll leave Sunday and return on Tuesday. I don’t have a location picked out, just somewhere in the totality.
There is next to no public land for...
Nice love tap from someone on my hitch cover gave me the motivation to cut her up. Got the hole as small as possible while still leaving enough room to install the hitch pin for this Agency 6 shackle block. About 3/8 to 1/2 inch gap all the way...
For my 50th birthday my amazing bride of 28 years surprised me with a '14 black on black 200! I know, I know, I am super spoiled in many ways. A big thanks with the help and consultation from @RocketCityCrzrs she found a great bone stock one...
I’ve been meaning to change out my headlight housings for a while. Mine were baked in the Florida sun for 10 years. I’m not sure anything else can make you car look newer than putting on new OEM headlight housings.

Hey MUDers. Long-time lurker, first-time contributor. Sharing my build in the hopes I can pay it forward and help others who might be considering similar modifications.
First I'll start with the 200 itself. Bought it last year (2023) soon after...
I've been planning out a very basic camping setup that is easy, not terribly expensive and requires no modifications except for a minor one.
Items involved:
- Window Sox
- Land Cruiser Rain Guards (slight modification)
- Vertx Storage Cubes
-...
