Another White 80 in ONSC. We'll Call This One,"Cotton."

Isnt peer pressure intense? I mean, the lengths we go to, and the money we spend, just so we can feel like we have to be a part of the white 80 club.

intense Ford pressure can have a similar effect, even if just temporary...

NIce score Dave. Looking forward to the "standard issue" build plans. Enjoy!

Couple more shots of Cotton all cleaned up. Next on the list is a new intake hose, PCV and associated rubber bits, rear brakes and seat covers.

Let me know what you're doing for an intake hose. I might get one with you.
Sorry, man. I ordered an eBay special last week. Rafael needs some stuff from Amayama. He approached me about splitting shipping on some parts. Get with him. Intake hose is #17881-66080. It's $60-ish.

How do you get to get those trucks look so nice? You should have a detailing service. Or you are using a detailing service???

I was thinking the same thing as Rafael, you should be flipping trucks Dave, you'd kill it.

And he never pays asking price even when the seller says firm price. We hate flippers!!

Y'all crack me up. Thanks for the compliments, fellas.

I enjoy doing my own detailing. It's such a rewarding, instant-gratification thing for me. It's the little details that make the biggest difference...things like painting the center caps and removing the sun-baked crusty brown paint protection pieces on the rear flares. I soaked the engine bay with simple green and hit it with a pressure washer and instantly the difference was night and day. Crudded-up door jambs almost always clean up with minimal effort. Paint only required one pass with Mothers #2 Fine Cut Cleaner

and a coat of cheapo Nu Finish wax

to bring up the shine. Nothing special going on here. The truck is far from perfect but it is getting better every day.

Ok. Too much of the detailing of "Cotton"

Rafael went with me to Raleigh today to haul the rolled 80 home. It will donate its locked axles to Cotton. There may be a few other pieces worth saving as well. I figured for $500 it was a pretty good deal:)

Glad it worked out.
