I have a similar low speed popping sound when I have my skids on, but the popping was 100% gone when I pulled my belly skid last year. I haven't cared enough to pull the plate and investigate further, but now I'm wondering if it has something to do with the chassis crossmember!?
Yeah skids can make noise. I had dropped all 3 and still had the sound, but if you’re goes away you might just look from some rubber washers to put between the skid and the frame.

Hail Mary post in this thread before other measures: when going over a speed bump/hump, just as the font suspension reaches its maximum point of decompression and begins to descend again, I hear a kind of dullish mechanical 'clack' (not huge) and feel a slight instability through the steering wheel. Not a full wobble, but a subtle 'that should not feel quite so loose' feeling. Nothing else to note as suspension compresses and returns to normal.

Could this be the intermediate steering shaft thing? More likely body mounts?

Any ideas?

Awesome. Will do. Thank you!
Update: greased the UCAs as per mfgr. proceedures. Does not make the clattering noise anymore. (thank you for the tip!)

Steering wheel feedback still feels like something is not quite tight...so I'll dive into the steering shaft investigation again.

dupe post due to weird browser behavior. Sorry about that...

This thread is awesome! I've have the same clunk at low speed saga (turning or straight, no brakes) since I did a lift and retorqued mine at ~130k... I was chasing the body mount but I always suspected the front CV. I'll report back on how my fix turns out.
