Finally got my weather strip glue and was able to put on the weather stripping on my glove box door with the new shift plate. I also hit the lettering with the white paint marker. And I finally put a side emblem on.

Now that I think about it, I should of waited before putting that side emblem on it. I'm taking it back to the paint guy after I'm all done for any touch ups and a wet sand. Any clues on how to take the side emblem off without damaging the little clips on the pegs?

Are those line clamps original and refurbed or did you find them knew? I'm hoping the latter.

Brake line clamps were the old ones I had rezinced. I do think you can still get them though.

I just can't seem to find them...

Absolutely gorgeous work! Very inspiring, and I know I will never get mine this nice...but maybe I can improve it somewhat:cool:. I am attaching a shot of yours with a question. Can you perhaps be so kind as to take a measurement of the distance from A and B to the center of the hole for the turn signal? I need to drill mine, and would like to make the hole in the right place. Thank you ever so much!!

Cheers!

Will do, I'll post a close up of the holes with measurements tomorrow-

Many Thanks! I only want to drill those holes ONCE!!

Cheers!

I got my headlight buckets all cleaned up and installed with new Sylvania Silverstar headlights and new hardware. Supposed to be 4X brighter than the original lights. I got the bezel on, right side up;) and my fender vin plate finally installed. Surprisingly I did not need to re-zinc the buckets as they were in great condition, but did have to drop off some more emission pieces for fresh yellow zinc. I think that is the last of it, and just one more stop at the powder coaters and this resto should be wrapped up.

Amazing looking build you have going there. What size 33" bfg's you running on those stock wheel's, 10.5 ? Can I get the name of the guy who rebuilt your cluster. Thanks and good luck with your restore.

SSCR, good meeting you this morning. Beautiful truck- great work! If I didn't need actual rear seats for young kids, I'd be all over your truck. I love my FJ62, but I've always been keen on the FJ40s. You just screwed me- now I have to read 15 pages of your resto thread. Damn! Take care.

Thanks Guys
Nice meeting you too California, super nice FJ62 you got there, I look forward to seeing it at work. Man I love these Land Cruisers!

Okay been doing some small stuff, man it really adds up and eats time. Restoed the horn relay, emission stuff, coil bracket and the voltage regulator. Cleaned the over flow bottle with Oxy clean and shaking bullet casings inside to scrap the gunk out. Just been bolting little odds and ends in the engine bay so I can install the hood. Really close to starting her up.
