And I put my rear license plate bracket together with the newly powder coated parts and new chrome hoods from Rainman. Going on vacation but will really hit this project when I get back.

For those plastic tanks , google up Retro Bright - it's a peroxide solution to clean that oxidation layer out of plastics and seems to work really well .

I saw that Sarge, I used Oxyclean which is supposed to do the same with uv light. It whitened up quite a bit. Maybe I'll run to a beauty supply and see if they have any high peroxide level paste to use and try it again. Thanks

My overflow bottle is gunky and pretty messed up inside. I'll be trying this over the weekend. Time to go crank off some rounds! Gotta have the casings.
A diluted muriatic acid soaking worked pretty good. Should mention that muriatic won't harm the plastic or rubber...but any metal will be..like the metal tab for wiper motor mount.

What did you use to clean up your coil and some of the other emissions components? I have installed all mine but wish they looked better.
BTW. I have all the doors together and the hard top sides on. I'm picking up the freshly painted hard top today and plan on installing the headliner on Friday.

Nice Mark, hope you took a ton of photos I can reference when I put my doors together I re-zinced all the brackets and other stuff I could with the emission items and cleaned the rest of it with a toothbrush and mineral spirits. I used pure silicone to revive the rubber stuff.
