After talking to Saddletramp I started thinking... Maybe I should go with stock bumpers on this build to keep it all stock. I have awesome 4Plus front and rear bumpers that I was going to use but maybe I could get a little more of my money back on the sale of this if it's all stock? Any opinions?

The bumper it came with looks like a stock bumper with a winch plate that holds my Warn 8274, I need to look at the paperwork but I thought this might of came with the truck as an option from the dealership. Possible?

Yes, I love powder coat. Still need to do the license plate bracket and all the pewter items, glove box door, ash tray, instrument bezel, seat backs ect..

Wiring harness time!

Okay I started going through my harness and pleasantly surprising it's pretty complete and unhacked. I do have some pics with questions, looks like I will need a couple of connectors but nothing too crazy.

Take a look at the photos an let me know if you know what some of this is for.

There is a label for what I believe is "trans" which makes sense and I do have a lead coming off the trans that would fit it. But the other wires are bundled together and just was labeled "empty"? I'd love to kill my first body guy that took this apart but at least he was careful and did not damage the harness at all.

Coolerman help!

More pics with questions....

Second photo down is for my rear tail lights, looks like one OEM splice that came loose and a generic blue splice with nothing attached. Any ideas? Maybe marker lights and the blue splice for my license plate bracket lights?

Another thought, I'm cleaning the harness with some simple green and maybe mineral spirits for the soiled areas, that okay? I'm thinking if it comes out nice and clean I might not need to cut the wrapping off and rewrap.

Simple Green, a tooth brush and a big plastic tub. Most of my harness looked brand new when done. Liberally spar all connectors with WD40 and use dielectric grease in all connection points when reassembling.

There is a very good picture on the forums of the wiring harness and I'd us in color, I blew mine up and printed it the size of a poster for easy reference. Yes there was a connector near the transmission connections that was not connected to anything.

The little light bulb you have circled pushes into the back of your light switch. I can take some photos for you. I know it looks like a mess, but old Mr Toyota made it so they only go back one way. Keep posting photos. We will get you there.

Thanks Johnny, no cruiser stuff but I did get a Seiko SKX007 watch I have wanted. Maybe I'll also get a little free time to finish going through my harness;)

Colorado can I get a photo of the rear of your harness that is for the license plate lights? Might have to recreate that.

The harness cleaned up great and is very much intact. Just waiting to hear back from Coolerman on stuff I need to order to fix a couple spots.

Are you going to powder coat those in pewter? , If so, What color code for pewter powder coating?

Those will be powder coated too, I have a new oem license plate hood in pewter and my powder guy said he can match it. I'll post the exact code when I drop the stuff off.

Great. Please let me know

Still waiting to hear from Coolerman on what I need for my harness so I thought I would take my fuel tank.

My tank was in great shape but had a little surface rust in a couple of spots so I sanded it down and shot it with a rust reformer primer. I got a couple of drips and sanded them out.

Tomorrow I'll shoot it with a couple coats of gloss black enamel. Anyone know what size the drain plug is? Might as well put a new one in it.
