2002 Acura MDX. From the write up I read people are just bolting them into the original 60 brackets. I didn't like how high they felt so I made brackets for them that lowered them. The seats were $75 a piece. The hardest part was figuring out the wiring. They had the drivers seat memory thing, and it was a pain to cut it out and rewire it. I need to wire power to them but not sure whether I want to wire them to the main battery or wait and wire them to the auxiliary battery I want to install.

I think tomorrow I am going to rebuild the front axle. I haven't done it before and am curious as to how long it will take. I found a PS pump and got it for $75 shipped. Ordered a troll hole carb and then she should be road worthy.

I need to give her a name. I've owned it for 6 years and have never given it a name. Granted it hasn't run more than a few months in those 6 years. We haven't had the best relationship. It's a love hate thing.

Not hard just messy. First time maybe a couple of days. Do it a couple of times and you'll realize you don't measure this job by time, the units or measure will be in disposable gloves, paper towels, cans of brake cleaner.

So true....so true. It seems like therapy now to me.

So it's gloves... All these years I've been wearing a hair net...

This is a mess. Just got back from the car wash with the axle. I decided that if I'm going to rebuild it I may as well clean if and paint it.

Quick question. Is this grease ok for the rebuild?

The container said it was moly fortified. I hope that works because I've already used it.

So I ran into a problem with my calipers. I've never seen this before.

I don't know if you can see from the picture but the pistons have mushroomed and only on side of the rotors was was in contact with the brake pads.

Nice looking job and shop. Where in Irondale do you live?

Agree, that looks awesome. Good work!

Very nice. I know a lot off folks only use parts from Mr. T but if you know what to look for rockauto.com it's a lot cheaper and they usually have a 5-10% off if you search Google

I've ordered from rock auto in the past. They have pretty good prices. That's where I got the wheel bearings for my tacoma.

I live up from the whistle stop cafe, but I work out at the airport in Bessemer and they don't mind if I use the hanger for my projects as long as I clean up and don't leave something in there for too long. I work out of town, but when I'm in town I don't have to work and things have been slow lately. That's why I have had so much time on the cruiser lately.

WOW! Love the rotors! did you paint them to?
Send them hubs to wabbit and let him overhaul them... or, heck! you're doing a good job... why do those too?!

What does he do to overhaul them. I only replaced the o-ring in the hub.

He'll make them look brand new. Inside and out. They won't be, and he'll tell you that... but they will look like it.
