Another little thing I've been wanting to tackle.

The plywood "cutting board" that came with the drop down table is garbage. Compete waste of material.

I had some good stuff hidden away for just this kind of occasion. Using the old junk as a template, I transfered all the holes and hardware over to the Starboard stuff.

Easy does it.

Spent a little time on vacation over the last few weeks, had a grad party for my daughter, went to the Corpus Christi area for a few day, made a stop in Austin to check out some food, and got to do some cruiser stuff.

We managed to luck out and get a tour of the pits at Franklin Barbecue, all I can say is that it was well worth the wait in the Texas heat.

I knocked out some little maintenance stuff on the 40, found a loose motor mount bolt, changed the oil, basic stuff.

Then I took it out on a run with the 406 Cruisers club out of Bozeman and put it to the test, a tad out of my normal comfort zone with the trail but I escaped with minimal damage. Drove it over Friday night to camp. Then wheeled all day Saturday and drove home.

I remember reading a post a long time ago from Mark, @65swb45 about roof racks and catching them in trees. Unfortunately I like to learn things the hard way as I caught the crossbars on a few trees and bent my gutter in a few spots. Strapped them to the front for the ride out.

Super jealous of your Franklin BBQ experience. Definitely on my bucket list.

Ever since I cut the bracket for the Tuffy console for the heater lines I keep breaking the mounting tabs on the bottom.

Fixed that, a little angle iron and a new bracket is now in place.

BTW, those are 1,000 gallon propane tanks recycled into smokers at Franklin, 5 of them, smoking 24/7 basically. It was impressive to hear the coordination and amount of meat that hits the grates daily.

Summer in the mountains is short but sweet. Gotta make hay while the sun shines.
You ain't wrong.

July is favorite month here, I make the best of it.

Still more to come!

Glacier National Park for the 4th of July.

Tech:

I managed to get 13.4, 12.8, 12.7, and 12.9 out of the last few tanks of fuel, log shows I'm getting better mileage with the cheap stuff versus the high test non-ethanol.

Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA has been on the cooler menu lately, tomorrow it's 16oz PBR on the river with @ZooTownCruiser

Might even make it to an Uncle Lucius concert tomorrow night, if I get off the river in time.
