It looks like that part is a stopper for the wing glass, NLA.

I need to check out the other door to see if one may be stuck down inside of it.

I let the 40 out of the garage today to get some fresh air.

Slowly starting to take it apart again for preperation for paint.

I found that same rusty part in my drivers door also. Just thought umm owell must not be needed lol

Today I dropped off the remaining parts that needed to be sandblasted. The front bib, doors, fuel tank cover, and the tranny hump. The tranny hump got some much needed love on Saturday, there were 3 large cuts in the top around the tranny shifter hole. I hammered everything back to flat (or as close as I am counting) and welded the 3 cuts back. The dudes at the place I dropped the parts off at run a powder coating biz, they didn't look like they were too busy although they gave me a 1-2 week turnaround on the parts.

Maybe if the mofos would pull their feet off the desk, put their phones in their pockets, and get busy they could get sh$t done quicker.

Then again, maybe it was lunchtime.

It is all stripped down to the bare tub on the frame today, hopefully tomorrow I will get the tub ready to flip again. My plan is to have everything ready to shoot paint on within the next few weeks. I want to be ready when warm weather rolls in, not scrambling to get stuff prepped.

The way my luck goes I will be waiting for the sandblasted parts while the weather is 75F and sunny, only to get the parts back and temps drop to 35F for another month.

Thanks man! Your project is coming along quite nice also, you are tackling some serious rust!

Thanks man, got some issues with the wheel wells also not sure how I'm going to address yet. I'll post some pics when I get there, still patching.

What color is causing the cold feet?

Green seems to be the hot color right now! I am looking at maybe Charcoal Gray, I don't think 40s looks right with a metallic finish but the Charcoal Gray has had my attention for a while. Also saw anothwr thread today with a lighter color of gray.........got my wheels turning.

There is a non metallic charcoal available on the 2016 F150 that is badass.

I am having a love hate relationship with the Rustic Green at the moment. Its what the 40 was originally so I'm sticking with it. Ill feel better once its painted.

I was just browsing the threads and saw pics of @1911 cruiser.

Makes me want to go green again.

I've owned my truck for four and a half years or so...During that time I've changed my mind on what color I'm going to paint it about 50,000 times...and I'm still at least a year or two from even doing any body work, let alone painting it...

Right now I'm leaning back toward keeping it Cygnus White - it seems like everyone who buys a white cruiser paints it something other than white. Not a whole lot of white ones left rolling around. That said, nothing else about this truck is original, so I very well may change my mind again!

My daughters want me to paint it pink! WTF!
