If you are looking at this truck, you already know what you are looking at. This is my 1997 FZJ80 Collector’s Edition Land Cruiser. I purchased this vehicle from a family in 2006 and have spent significant dollars and a lot of time building what I would consider the perfect 80 Series Land Cruiser. I approached every modification with the objective of making the most capable off-road vehicle without losing the ability to drive it on a daily basis. Up until a month ago this was my daily driver; however, I purchased a 2009 TRD Off-Road Tacoma Double Cab and begin driving that as my daily driver. I am only selling this vehicle because I own four cars including this one and for a family of two, it’s a bit excessive. While I absolutely love this Land Cruiser it makes the most sense to sell this vehicle…I hate to see her go. Having said that, I am not selling this vehicle for any financial need…thus, my price reflects what I believe it is worth and if it doesn’t sell…it doesn’t sell.

This truck is not a “Garage Queen” and besides being my daily driver it made several appearances at TLCA events – including Southern Cruiser Crawls and Razor Back Rambles. It also served as my camping and hunting truck. Thus, it has some scrapes and dents on the sliders, rear bumper, and IPOR skid plates. The body itself is in great condition, there is a small dent by the Safari Snorkel (from a small tree on Four Fingers) and the front driver side quarter panel has a dent from a boulder that magically reached around the MetalTech slider. The dent is pretty camouflaged since it is on the section of the quarter panel that has been covered with Herculiner.

The body has no rust other than a small spot on the rear hatch. That spot is about to be professionally fixed by the folks at Joe Stewart Body Shop in Memphis, TN. The underbody is in fantastic condition. There is slight surface rust on the axles and a few spots of surface rust on the frame; however, for a 14 year old tuck it is in excellent condition. I have included over a 100 pictures that show the details of the truck.

This truck was built mostly by the fine folks at Iron Pig Offroad and if you have any questions; please feel free to reach out to them and get their opinion of the truck. This truck is built well, is uber reliable, and can tackle almost any challenge. It was not built to be the ultimate rock-crawler, or mud-buggy, or highway-cruiser…rather it was built to be good at everything. I have never abused this truck and folks will vouch that the first thing I do when I get off the trail(s) is detail the truck and it shows. All major mechanical work was either done by IPOR or by a Toyota Master Technician that now works at Lexus of Memphis. The Master Technician was the individual who replaced my headgasket and installed the TRD Super Charger. Iron Pig Offroad installed my ARB air lockers, the dual battery system, re-geared the truck to 4.88’s, and did some of the auxiliary wiring. The rest of the work was performed by me and the great members of CottonLand Cruisers. I run full synthetics and change the oil every 5,000 miles. Every other oil change a sample goes to Blackstone Labs.

The interior of the truck is in great shape and with the African Outback drawer system, Milford Half Barrier, ARB Refrigerator, sound system, and PowerTank it is set to take you wherever you want to go. This truck has a lot of parts that are not easy to get in the United States – the reason being is that I purchased a lot of parts while I was stationed in Hong Kong from 2007 through 2009.

Please review the pictures, I took them on August 14, 2011 and they accurately depict the condition of the truck.

I am asking $25,000 for the truck and that includes the following:

I am also in the process of converting five OEM wheels into Champion Beadlock C3 wheels. The wheels are finished with the beadlock conversion and are currently at Rick’s Powder Coating in Memphis, being stripped and powder coated in Anthracite. These wheels can be included for an additional $2,500.00. That is basically my cost for the wheels, the conversion, and powder coating.

Champion Beadlocks OEM Wheel C3 Conversion Powder Coated Anthracite ($2,300 for 5) - pre-powder coating:

If you have any questions, please let me know. Please PM me with any serious interest. If this truck does sell, I would like it to go to someone that will appreciate it for what it is...what I think is one of the finest 80 Series Land Cruisers in the country.

Thanks.

I see you took the M240 off....

Do you take kidneys as payment?
For this truck I would consider selling one....:crybaby:
You have officially built my dream '80. This page is in a permanent bookmark on my menu bar.
Does it have a name?

I did take the M240 off...too much of a pain to transfer. Kidding of course.

I don't drink much so...my kidneys are in great shape...last I checked they were going for $10k on the Chinese black market.

Thanks everyone for the compliments...it's a great truck!

Bump for Thursday...

fjfar80, where did you get your Rear LED Taillights? I want to get a pair of these LED lights. Thanks.

The ARB lockers were installed by IPOR, I think they use the factory harness and tie into it using the RR locker as both the locker initiation and air compressor switch...FR then locks the front locker. It is slick.

I bought those suckers while I was in Hong Kong from the manufacturer. I think they sell them on eBay.

I sent you a PM...I could send you via email all of the pictures but, it would probably be easier for me to send you a CD with them loaded on.

Shoot me a PM or send me an email.

Fantastic truck Mark. GLWS!

All -

Just a quick update on the truck. I had one serious buyer back out which means the truck is still for sale. Also, in the meantime I found out that I am relocating to the D.C. area; which means that I actually need to sell my truck now. I agreed with the other buyer on a price of $25,000 for the truck, so the price has been lowered to $25,000. He also requested a compression check on the engine. while it was at my mechanic I had the following preventive maintenance performed:

1. Oil changed
2. Cooling system flush - Toyota Red
3. New Thermostat and gasket installed
4. Fan clutch replaced
5. Belts replaced
6. Brakes checked and E-Brake inspected - all in spec.
7. Power Steering inspected - all in spec.
8. I also had the fusible link replaced
9. Rear differential factory dash light checked - the bulb was not seated properly

Compression numbers as follows:

Cylinder 1 - 180psi
Cylinder 2 - 170psi
Cylinder 3 - 180psi
Cylinder 4 - 175psi
Cylinder 5 - 175psi
Cylinder 6 - 174psi

So, whoever gets this truck just had $1,300 of preventive maintenance performed by a Toyota/Lexus Master Technician...not too shabby.

In addition, I picked up the wheels from Ricks Powdercoating and they are awesome:

The powdercoating came in a little lower than expected so, I am lowering the price of the wheels to $2,300 for five. These things are the baddest 80 series wheels out there...period.

PM if you are interested.
