Supposed one stumbled across the option to either purchase the cab with interior for a 79 Series Double Cab LHD or the main body with interior for a 76 Series LHD, but were only given the option to buy one...which would you choose??
No frames, engines, front fenders, or hood; just the body and interior.

Just a personal preference, but I tend to like the wagon body better for looks, even though the pickup is probably more practical.

I'd go with the 76 unless the 79 also includes the pickup box.

Depends on which chassis you plan on using.

With the availability to import a 25 year old 75 series or 77 series you could easily build off of a 70 series chassis. Or if you had a rusty 70 series already this could be a new start. And depending on whether you modified the front chassis you could stick with the round headlight look or track down the front of a modern 79 Series.

It go with the 76 unless the 79 also includes the pickup box.

Pickup box is always the easy part.

You cannot beat the versatillity of the 79 D/C even if you tried .... car, ldv and 4x4 all rolled into one ...
