Hi everyone and thank you for letting me join. I have a 75 series cruiser Ute in Queensland Australia and it has a 2” cab lift which I would like to remove because it is very hard to climb in and out of. Has anyone here had experience with a cab lift? The bloke I got it from has done many dodgy repairs that I’m working through so I suspect he wouldn’t have installed the lift with changes to brake lines, steering shafts etc.

Thanks bro, but I’d prefer to lower the cab to standard. The suspension has a 2” lift already so it is very high.
Then get the origional body mounts and replace the extended ones that are currently there.
The biggest issue you will have, (besides the absolute pain in the ass), is the piping and extentions made for the lift, but this is usually an issue when lifting, not lowering.
The 75 body is in three parts, bonnet, cab and rear buck.

Hop onto Partsouq or similar site and use the parts diagrams to get new standard mounts, bolts etc. Pretty simple to remove and go back to stock.

For a 2" body lift unlikely that changes to brake lines, steering shaft etc. were needed, just check fan-shroud-radiator clearance and make sure the steering shaft joint is able to 'collapse' as the body gets lowered.

Aaah, good point, radiator could have been moved.
Steering on the 75 uses universals, so could handle a 2 inch lift.

Thanks mate you’ve been very helpful, that’s the sort of info I was looking for
