I did extensive searching, but I need some help here, my factory wheels are toast. I need to order new wheels and tires for my 1998 LX. I don't really want to use spacers, so I'm wanting aftermarket wheels. I'm looking at a 275/70R18 tire.

So I'm looking for a backspacing and offset recommendation, probably 18x9.

All help is appreciated.

What are you looking for in terms of style? There are a few aftermarket options.

You could also save a few dollars and go with 18" Tundra takeoffs. Many fit without spacers of any kind. You'll want to pay attention to the front hub clearance with many wheels.

I'm fairly flexible on style, but conservative. I was looking at some granite wheels on tirerack, but it says the tire might stick out of the fenders, which is unacceptable. I do like Tundra wheels, but only if I can avoid spacers. I like the idea of tirerack because i can receive them mounted and balanced

Fuel or Method have 5x150 18 options one has a 20 offset and the other a 25. There was a recent thread and discussion on wheel offsets and options. Good info there posted by @JayM

I personally went with the American Racing AX188's. Great fitment without spacers, and I got a deal on them from a member here. I removed the fake plastic chrome studs on the edges of the wheel to tone them down a bit.

The only problem you might find with those wheels is the front hub clearance with the provided hub cap.

American Racing is generally helpful, and can answer fitment questions. So can Tire Rack.

Ditto, I have these exact wheels, got them online, for less then 200 per wheel back in the day.
I fit 295s on them.

I made the mistake of buying after market rims without checking offset. The after market rims were -11, stock is +50 , they stuck out three inches and I ended up doing a pinch weld tuck (post coming soon) just to run them over the summer. I recently swapped to 18" Tundra takeoffs (or potentially 03+ LC?) as a cheap alternative to get my tires back under the vehicle. Sounds like your already thinking about this but don't get anything with an offset much less than +40 if you want them under your fender!

FYI-Stock 18" wheel has a +60mm offset. I'm running 30mm spacer which brings the offset to +30, plenty of clearance with 275's (no rub at full compression)

Switching to a 9" wheel changes the math a bit on wheel position as it relates to the distance to the UCA and fenderwell. You can run the numbers on this online calculator

Subscribed because I am looking for ideas too for a 2001 Gold LX 470.

I don't really know what I want. The only ones that I have seen that I like are the TRD forged Rock Warriors without the fake beadlock.

I e-mailed FN Wheels a few weeks ago and haven't got a response yet. Their web form did say they'll reply to every email so i'm not sure if my e-mail fell through the cracks or if they are really busy. In the meantime, i'm also now looking at the SCS F5's with 33's. Any thoughts or suggestions for my stock LX, I would like no or very minimum modification to the car to fit the wheel and 33" tire

Dustin at FN Wheels is awesome. Called him up and talked through my situation. Unfortunately he only sells 17" wheel on 5*150 and not 18" (I already spent $ on 18" Toyos) but his wheels are sweet as hell.

Hello!
here's my hzj 105 that mounts rims of EvoCorse model Dakar zero 16 x 7 et -10 with 295/75 tires r 16

the rims, are a competition model, with a breaking load of more than 1500kg and weighing 12 kilograms each.

They are also available in 17 x 8,
4 standard colors, black white and charcoal gray.
this year, is expected to arrive on the market the same rim measuring 16x 8

Rims are made entirely in Italy.

4 standard colors, black white and charcoal gray.
What's the fourth color? Can't say I'm a big fan of them but I do appreciate the variety especially given how few aftermarket options there are.
