Hi all

So, I’m searching for a good low mile car, no/minimal rust 100/lx470.

I’ve found quite a few that would do the job BUT are missing AHC.

Plan is to have a nice 4.7 cruiser for the road/family trips. So have been looking for AHC.
(then a 4.2TD for off road trips, wife doesn’t know that part of the plan yet.).

I have searched this forum and google but only get AHC delete vs std suspension answers.

Getting to the question…
Is there an aftermarket AHC like/style kit that could replicate the OEM AHC?
ie press a button for soft/firm settings etc.

There’s electronic adjustment damping kits for performance cars from Bilstein etc
Maybe there’s similar for 4x4s?

If not. Think I’ll go for an 80000km RHD car with no rust but most other options.
Also found a 23000km 2003 5 speed model that I’m really tempted to go for.

I have a 2006 LHD 120 prado 3.0TD 6 speed manual with 82000km (profile pic) I may be selling (to fund the 4.7) if of interest to anyone. It’s in Spain and zero rust.

Thanks in advance.

There is a group developing something similar. They've posted a few times here on the 100 forum but their name escapes me. Maybe Nimbus?

I'm a huge proponent of keeping AHC when possible, but IMO, it's not worth passing up an otherwise great truck that never had it. You can look in to some great shock options like Kings or Dobinson's remote res options, that'll give a great ride and have a lot of adjustability.

@MongooseGA is correct. It’s Nimbus they make a pretty intense system that they claim is similar to the AHC comfort. Not sure how many people can vouch for that claim, but I think it’s the only thing even close to your inquiry. That and it’s $5k for something that not many have insight on.

Tein offers one for the UZJ100. I don't know much more than that.
