I would be interested also.

Basically copied what Bryan from Lutz Auto did on page one. Super happy with the results. Plug and play with the factory rs3000 unit. Nice to have a solid keyless entry again with way better range. Can't recommend Lutz enough. He delivers a quality prompt product every time.

I spent too much time making my RS3000 work. I hate to take it out...but damn this is the solution I need to put a modern remote start/keyless system in

I ended up putting this kit online at the link below. Thanks for all of the support:

Still working well for me

We will soon release an alarm adapter that should work for all RS3000 systems on any model. The new model will have an injection molded case.

These LX450 only models are on sale to empty stock. We only have a few left at this price:

Will the injection molded case work?
The current models for sale (LX450 only) come with a 3d printed case.

A kit in the near future will use an injection molded case, but the case will not be backwards compatible with the current, LX450 only, kit linked above.

The printed case works well and doesn't lose any functionality.

I must have bought before the 3d printed case. Maybe I can buy one.(?)

nvm, I misread. I thought you wanted the molded case, and already had the 3D printed case.

I mean, it mounts under a seat, does the case really matter?

This new kit below should work with all RS3000 alarms for any toyota. There are many models in the 90's/early 00's that used the RS3000 alarm. This is a very quick, clean way to install an aftermarket keyless/alarm system (with a remote that works!)

We also have the factory piezo beeper replacement if you want to fix the lock/unlock beeper that is typically non-function after 25+ years. \

I am finally getting around to replacing the RS3000 alarm, with an iKey Premier. The adapter makes wiring so much simplier...

A couple of questions.

1) Is the Dome Light expected input NEG? The EWD shows the RS3000 outputs Voltage to activate the dome/courtesy lights, but it could have been switched internally by Lutz's adapter.

2) The iKey Premier provides power to activate the tail lights, which is the opposite of the RS3000, which grounds a relay. Unlike the door locks, I can't find a way on the iKEY to provide ground to activate the tail lights, rather than power. I plan on using a relay to switch the signal from POS to GND. Any reason why this is not ok?

So I think the adapter expects a negative trigger but at least with viper there was a wire for both and I just removed the positive trigger wire and used the negative. Do you want to post the pinout or colors?

Well, I figured out my first question.

The RS3000, and the adapter labels that circuit DOME, but it really is a door trigger. If a door is opened, the RS3000 will see 12V on that circuit. RS3000 doesn't output voltage, which made no sense to me, but it does use it to know when a door has been opened.

I think the adapter changes it internally to a GND signal if a door is opened, as expected by a Viper alarm.

The iKEY Premier calls it a door trigger, and can either use a GND (default) or a +12V signal (jumper setting).

Thanks, I got it figured out. I had to go through the FSM Theft diagnostic to figure out why does it even care about the dome light...😄
