These were on my cruiser when I got it. Don't like that they extend out a half inch.
Any recommendations for headlights that don't "bug" out?

Those are OEM Toyota lights. Very reasonably priced. I’d run them if you drive at night at all.

For the money those are about the best upgrade Toyota has ever offered. The lenses do protrude a bit. I think there's a couple of vendors on here that sell other options for a lot more than $25.

@nick

That’s the one thing I don’t like about the oem upgrades as well

I had bought lights from JcWhitney’s 27? Years ago that were flat h4 … they were a knockoff Hella flat h4 headlight

I believe hella still offers those lights

I have a set of the oem on the shelf waiting to go in … and I need it as well as my lights have rotted out the bottom

I may go for the whole wiring setup from the oem and replace the headlights with hella

For the time being I may also space out the bezel a little more and see how it looks

If you find the hella flat lights post up what you find as in part numbers

If I can get outside … I’ll take a pic of the hella copy lights

I have some sort of sealed beam halogen I really like. I doubt I could get a replacement, and ones like that are $50 each on ebay.

Some of this re-hashes what you already have, but it does talk about other lights too.

The Hella rectangular ones I bought were Euro pattern ones that were DOT approved and don’t stick out. They are very similar to the used Hella ones I bought from a wrecking yard in about 1992.

My truck is so far from stock that I’m not concerned in any way that they are a different shape than the original ones that didn’t work 1/2 as well.

What is nice about the 60 & 70 series headlight upgrade is the upgraded wiring harness that isolates the headlights from the factory harness. Only load on the factory harness is coils in the relays.
Great point
