We'll miss you bud! Thanks for all you've done.

When I make it out to the west coast I'll make sure to hit you up!!! Good luck with the move!

Dang man. I really hate to hear this but truly am happy for you. I absolutely loved that area while I was stationed there and definitely want to get the family out there as well. Buddy it will not be the same not hearing you around the campground and the barn. Best wishes to both of you guys.

congrats and sorry to see you go...

Hey Al, keep me in the loop on your moving plans. I have some very good friends just north of Seattle in Mt Vernon. I'll be heading that way periodically. In the coming years I also plan to get my cruiser up that way for an event.

Happy to hear you are moving on to bigger and better things ! Now that gives us another reason to visit the west. Godspeed.

Good luck Al.

You will love the PNW.

Blows NC out of the water.

;)

Spread the word Beno - maybe people will stop flooding my home state!

Congrats Al. Hope everything goes smoothly for you and you find great success.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement.

for everyone that visits ill have a well stocked beer fridge as well as my own brew on tap. Darin ill have tons of Monster for you and Eric F ill have a lot of diet coke :)

hardest part will be being away from Andrea for a few months. May have to pull some favors, if I have any left, to have some guys help her out with the garage sale after the house sells

I can't be happier for you and Andrea, change is always challenging, you have a great future ahead of you. I'm sure Andrea will find a place where she can do what she loves also.

I've spent loads of time in the area, my G-pa retired from Boeing, had family throughout the state, we lived in Washougal before moving to Cary and I miss that part of the country. Being able to wake up and see mountains like Rainier, Baker and Hood is something I miss. And, downtown Seattle is one of my fav "big" cities to hang out it, great nightlife, safe, clean, very jealous.

Best wishes...

We're going to miss you Al.
You were my first contact in the club. You stayed on me with PM's about upcoming events. If it wasn't for your persistence I probably never would have joined.

Thank you.

Well my first week in WA and at the new job went pretty well.

Public transport is the key (used to that from London) and means that I don't have to buy a new car for MPG so I can build my next cruiser how I want. :)

The food here is out of this world, little hole in the wall shops with food to die for.

a few blocks to the closest brewery (Pikes Place) they have great beer there. There is talk about a brewery going into the basement of my building that I work in.

I'm a few blocks from the Pikes Place Market and a few from the original starbucks location.

@krzyabncanuck you would love it here..... almost 9500 coffer shops/stands in the city limits of Seattle. If never seen so much coffee in my life. (also partial to all the cowgirl espresso places around here)

I work on the 19th floor of some building (forgot the name I think its Puget Sound Plaza)

Safeco and Century Link field are within walking distance from the office for when the Pats or Dodgers come to town.

The underground buses are a bit odd but get me back to the train station in no time.

This weekend or next i'm heading up to Torfabs for a visit

Guess i'll post a few pics.

Picture of the city from the train station.

A few views from the office (it wraps around 3 sides of the building)

I know lots of you have told me you know Seattle pretty well so this map will better illustrate where I work.

Other than that.... loving the job, and the people I work with.
Love the Area.

Loving the beer so far.

Brett is coming for a visit next weekend so i'll be hitting up as many of the breweries as we can in 2 days :)

Going to try and hit up next months meeting of the Seattle Cruiser Heads and see what that is all about.

Can't be as good as ONSC though.

Al, that looks truly awesome, and again wish you guys congrats. After living in a dozen places in the past 30 years (since college), I envy the new start in a new place. And what a place, so much to do and explore. Keep the thread alive with pics, living vicariously....

I kept telling myself that if I didn't reply to this, it wasn't actually going to happen.. BUT now that it has happened, I can say I'm very happy that y'all are happy! I'm going to have to talk the family into a cross country trip at some point now:grinpimp:. I hope your new change of scenery treats you well, the nature out there is gorgeous..so take pictures!

WOW, what an incredible location! Every time we went to Seattle we had to go to Pike Place Market. Have you been to Diamond Knot yet? Their Hef and their Industrial IPA are the favorite beers of many Boeing Engineers. Pike Kilt Lifter is good, too, and I'm pretty sure you've had it already :-) Did I mention that you have an incredible work location???

You may have.... Yeah I went to diamond knot after my first initial interview back in Feb and tried everything they had...... Pretty solid
