Well my first week in WA and at the new job went pretty well.
Public transport is the key (used to that from London) and means that I don't have to buy a new car for MPG so I can build my next cruiser how I want.
The food here is out of this world, little hole in the wall shops with food to die for.
a few blocks to the closest brewery (Pikes Place) they have great beer there. There is talk about a brewery going into the basement of my building that I work in.
I'm a few blocks from the Pikes Place Market and a few from the original starbucks location.
@krzyabncanuck you would love it here..... almost 9500 coffer shops/stands in the city limits of Seattle. If never seen so much coffee in my life. (also partial to all the cowgirl espresso places around here)
I work on the 19th floor of some building (forgot the name I think its Puget Sound Plaza)
Safeco and Century Link field are within walking distance from the office for when the Pats or Dodgers come to town.
The underground buses are a bit odd but get me back to the train station in no time.
This weekend or next i'm heading up to Torfabs for a visit
Guess i'll post a few pics.
Picture of the city from the train station.
A few views from the office (it wraps around 3 sides of the building)
Next group didn't turn out too well.... work phone camera and its been a little tempermental so much so I already have a replacement but it also is having camera problems.
Mt Rainer near my house in Bonney Lake
Pikes Public Market (where I get most of my lunches from)
Took the one of the Ferries just for the hell of it one day
I know lots of you have told me you know Seattle pretty well so this map will better illustrate where I work.
Other than that.... loving the job, and the people I work with.
Love the Area.
Loving the beer so far.
Brett is coming for a visit next weekend so i'll be hitting up as many of the breweries as we can in 2 days
Going to try and hit up next months meeting of the Seattle Cruiser Heads and see what that is all about.
Can't be as good as ONSC though.
