Hello all, I am trying to put in a booster on a 75 FJ40, It has the mechanical throttle and a clutch master. I can seem to get the correct pieces to make it work. can someone point me to a thread o about this?

Thanks

Is this US spec? A 1975 should have a booster. Also the clutch master and slave cylinder are hydraulic not mechanical.
I have no idea if its U.S. spec, how can I tell? I can assure you there is not a booster installed, this vehicle has manual brakes. Perhaps I did type it out correctly, I was stating that is has a mechanical throttle linkage and it also has a master for the clutch. The problem is the booster wants to share space with the throttle linkage.

Pictures of the brake master cylinder would help here.

A photo of the data plate on the driver's A pillar post would show if it's US-spec., and/or the underhood data plate.

I think @cruisermatt shop was doing a booster conversion 2? months ago with a write up tech thread here on mud

starting in mid year 1970 all Landcruisers 40 or 55 US spec came with a brake booster

"Manual brakes"?
Are you trying to fit a vacuum servo for the brakes or the clutch, or both?

Just add a photo of the firewall, it's probably much easier.

You can find kits here to make it work, or else you can fit a remote servo
